Ordered online… ordered beef and shrimp… add chicken… got back to my job excited to crush this food and what do I find when I opened up the meal???? Paid for double shrimp and they did not give double proportions. When I said something to them they said that it was double shrimp but it definitely was not. Food was packed with an extremely heavy amount of rice and not enough meat. These people will try to get over on you. The customer service is poor here as well. Cashier is an older lady with zero customer service skills. Won’t be returning

Bad service, poor hygiene, lack of efficiency. Amount of food in each person’s order is usually not consistent, and employees often got orders wrong. I observed no one wearing gloves and some* people’s food being directly touched with dirty fingernails. The portions especially of veggies and rice are also abysmal for the price, and they charge $2 for extra chicken, which is only a few small pierces extra, not worth. Whenever an order is wrong they look at you in annoyance as if you’re truly inconveniencing them. I tasted one chicken teriyaki piece and it tasted like as if cleaning chemicals had gotten mixed up at one point in the sauce, I spit it out immediately. Feel like the service at this location has been going downhill, often a hit or miss.

the counter stove they use is dirty/unsanitary you can tell the food has black burnt nitty gritty well blended with every fabric of the food. very stingy with the main ingredients, not proportional; they pack the food tray with a lot of rice in the bottom like we don’t know. dept of health should come as a bystander unannounced for sanitation purposes, cant return my food, no satisfaction guarantee, just throw the food out in the trash. very expensive too

I came and ate and the guy was going so fast he was hardly listening. I always order the same thing. Every time. Since I was a child. I waited in a long, long line for the food because others enjoy Sarku just as much as I did, just to discover the gentleman rang my order wrong. I’m never someone who gripes about that, mistakes happen, just fix it quickly and we can move on. The cook immediately dismissed me and argued with me that it was correct what the guy put in and said he refused to correct it until I paid more. Completely dismissed me. The two ladies next to me didn’t receive something in their order either and the same cook didn’t even question it like he JUST did me, and fixed it for them, all while I was right there made to rummage to fix the cashiers mistake as he was going so fast he wasn’t listening to my food requests. If your cashier messes up that’s not my fault and the fact that he messed up a second time and it wasn’t even questioned….what? They argued with me and then continued to argue until someone grabbed my receipt, nobody even stopped to check with the cashier. Nobody even apologized just said “that’s what he rang you up for so that’s what you get unless you pay me a dollar”. The cook tried to make it as if I’d have to wait all over again for my food. Any time I have ever gone to the mall Sarku always had my heart every time since I was a young child. I was so embarrassed at how the cook treated me that I just cannot go back again. He was so rude and dismissive telling me I didn’t order the same thing I’ve ALWAYS ordered and then to not question or make the person next to me and rectify their mistake with THAT person directly next to me who ALSO agreed it was totally messed up the way the cook was being toward me… I’m so upset, thanks for ruining an already rough day where the highlight of it was supposed to be coming and enjoying nostalgic food as I don’t go to the mall often but when I do, I make sure to go to Sarku. Don’t worry, I paid your dollar, thankfully having exactly 4 quarters and two nickels in my wallet because I wasn’t going to mess everyone up to pay a dollar on a card…but that’s my last dollar to ever go to your company.

Arrived at 11:00 to place an order for 3 people and they said it would be 20 more minutes until they opened. This has happened before, which when you have limited time for lunch really sucks. Won’t be back.
