This Sassy Express Thai food truck serves up awesome and unexpected dishes. Run by this local couple, were friendly and seemed to be local favorites. We tried their Thai spicy level and it was so hot that our ears were ringing, but we absolutely loved it. The vegetables were perfectly crunchy, adding a nice texture to the meal. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Excellent customer service. Salad rolls were decent. Peanut sauce was super good. Also had the Spicy Basil Stir Fry with chicken and Pad See EW with chicken. Both were good and big portions. Could of used a tad more flavor. Thai iced tea and Raspberry lemonade were tasty.

We’ve been to many Thai restaurants over many years; however, a Thai food truck was a new experience for us. We got to meet the owners…the wife is the cook…and let me just say the food was very good…temperature hot, flavorful, fresh, large portions, a wide variety menu…I had the pad see ew – yum yum, my son ordered the Thai peanut sauce chicken breast with rice and veggies, and my wife ordered the yellow curry. All were delicious, more than we could eat. She makes her own homemade peanut sauce – sweet and savory and delicious. Even the thai iced tea is homemade. We ate under the cabana while it was hot. Prices were reasonable for the high quality. We’ll be coming back for her homemade Pho! A definite comeback when in Rockaway!

Really excellent Thai food!! Stopped here on a whim while road tripping, but wow, what a gem of a place! Great selection- and everything except the pho and maybe one other dish can be made vegan. Had the Pra Ram with tofu. The tofu was marinated and crispy. I wish I knew how to cook tofu so well!! My partner had the Pad Thai with veggies. I got to have a bite and it was the best Pad Thai I’ve had in years. Really excellent Thai iced tea made vegan too.

I was looking forward to this food for a while after all the great reviews on the Rockaway Facebook group. My husband really enjoyed his peanut chicken! I had the pad Thai and found it lacking of flavor and not enough sauce and unfortunately dry chicken. I wasn’t giving up though and went back the next day and got the wonton soup. I was expecting a brothy soup with just wontons primarily, as I have at many other Thai restaurants, this was more like a vegetable soup (again with overcooked chicken) and vegetable wontons. Haven’t decided if I will try again on our next visit to the beach house….

Very, very, average Thai food, if not very bland. We’ve had Thai food all over the world, including from so many restaurants here in the USA, but we’d have to say this was not very flavorful, and probably the least of any we’ve ever had. Not very hot or spicy, which is what you expect in Thai food. There was no side hot sauce or even given the choice of hotness of the prepared food.

Great food for wide variety of tastes & heat levels.. Everyone loved what they ordered so much so we thought we over ordered too but family kept going back for more. The owners are super nice, very accommodating with all my additional requests for the different heat levels & sides. My husband dropped his wallet in parking lot they called, stayed late while we returned & refused to take reward money. We’ll be back soon!

My mother and I always stop here to get our favorite. Salad rolls. They never let us down. The rolls are always full of color and luscious greens. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves food that is full of care.
