Ate here several times as I was staying in the hotel next door. Tried several things. The best thing they offer is their pork. The brisket was very dry and had quiet a bit of fat that hadn’t rendered. I also tried their catfish, it tasted like it was wild caught and not cleaned. Sauces were decent.

I enjoyed the atmosphere here. I was here with my wife couple of weeks ago. The food and everything seemed great to me! It’s unfortunate that some people that post want to be cry babies about not having great food or whatever the scenario. They should be thankful a place exists that is willing to cater to them and serve them for showing up. There are countries an even places in America that doesn’t exactly have that attraction. Even if one day isn’t great doesn’t mean it’s like that everyday. I plan to visit the bar every Wednesday at least. Keep up the good work Sassy’s!

Stopped here on a trip. Ordered chopped brisket sandwich. Flavor was great, but half the sandwich was fat. Some fat is ok but every bit was full of fat making it impossible to eat. Sauces were good and facility looked nice, but not likely to go there again if I’m in the area.

I used to frequent this establishment with great regularity and enjoyment when I lived in Fayetteville. I visited last night and maybe my nostalgia from yesteryears, or the fact that I have probably been ruined by Wright’s bbq, had me quite disappointed in the food.

Their pulled pork with bbq is always a winner, I loved the Irish nachos minus the onions, peppers/spicy stuff, and I literally NEVER like mac-n-cheese made anywhere but at home but I could easily live off theirs. Service was great, their prices were great! It’s my go-to for a good sit down dinner with close friends or family and their “plates” are waaay big enough to split between 2 people so it’s also perfect for a date.

Pretty good barbecue, this is their second location on weddington, their other location off of college has outdoor seating that is really awesome under big shade trees! Great to grab a bucket of beer and some barbecue on a nice warm summer day!
