Southern food! Surprisingly delicious. Large portions and very affordable. Famous for their brisket, but unfortunately they were sold out. Staff said come as early as possible to get brisket. The sweet tea is good! Friendly staff. Nice music from the 70’s. Not a big variety of desserts. I will be going back!

My partner and I found this place on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The pork and mac and cheese were great when mixed together. Wasn’t a fan of the stew. Wish the BBQ sauce was warm, as it cooled off the warm meat when combined. Will come back!

I ordered catering from Satchel’s BBQ and it was top notch! The ease of ordering, the communication with the owner, down to the delivery of food…was such an easy process. The food was AMAZING! We ordered an a bunch of items and I am so glad we did! I will be using them for years to come. You absolutely HAVE to order the mac and cheese!

Satchel’s recently catered my wedding reception at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and they were amazing. They were quick to respond and offered many great suggestions while trying to create a menu that fit the day. They were on top of every aspect and I didn’t have to spend any time worrying about the food on the big day…what a relief! Many guests have commented on how great the food was! I was impressed by them all around and would recommend using Satchel’s for your next catered event, big or small.

This place is a staple for us. We’ve ordered take-out twice within the last 2 weeks alone. Recently noticed they’ve changed their take out boxes which were very nice and much better (thanks for that) than the usual takeout container!! The prices are fantastic for the amazing value of the food. I am a big fan of their mac & cheese with the brisket! You cannot go wrong for choosing to eat here. Satchel’s, Keep doing what you’re doing! We look forward to it every time.

We were the first customers of the day on a Sunday. The staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We weren’t real hungry but we were on vacation so trying to sample things from places we hadn’t been. We shared a ½# brisket plate which included 2 sides and cornbread. Not even realizing it..they gave us an extra piece of cornbread because we were sharing the plate. They make the ice tea fresh every morning and it wasn’t quite ready but as soon as it was one if the young men came and got my cup filled it for me. The food tasted as amazing as it smelled. We will definitely be visiting them again when we pass through. Thanks for an AMAZING meal and experience at your shop!

We stopped for dinner on our way back to Ohio. Fantastic sides ..the satchel stew , bake beans, Mac and cheese, collard greens, corn bread were amazing. The brisket was very dry as well as the pulled pork. Ribs were delicious. Beans and rice were tasty but could use a little kick like some andouille sausage or something thing that.

I ordered Satchel’s catering for an event and had a wonderful experience. Hugh was easy to work with, flexible with ordering options, and prompt with his responses. The food was delicious too! Our students enjoyed the brisket in particular, and the pulled pork and chicken were great too. Appreciate the vegetarian options as well! We will definitely order from Satchel’s again.
