If you love great authentic pizza (and delicious salad) in an exquisite, quirky, artisitc setting this is the place for you! I had been told by many to visit since moving to Florida and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great – and family friendly- with live entertainment, a playground for the kids, a greenhouse and gorgeous art and plants everywhere the eye can see! Will definitely be going back!

A little pricier than I usually like, but we went because they had a play area for the kids and they loved that. Food was good. Service was quick. Not wheelchair accessible really. The only “accessible” dining room was tight for him to move around. We might go back, but probably not. If we do, it will be because of the kids play area.

Such a cool atmosphere to be in. Everywhere you look is filled with small trinkets, toys, or plants. So you could find yourself sitting a foot away from a bunch of plants, at a table made of pennies, or even in a van.

Best pizza in the county, and the prices are super reasonable! I’ve lived here close to ten years and finally got to Satchel’s today. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but we were seated outdoors (which we’d hoped for, but would have taken whatever was available first) after a short 15-minute wait. Plenty of things to do and see while you wait, so it was a breeze! We were greeted promptly and gave our drink orders. We opted for pizza and salad, and Satchel’s did not disappoint. A hearty salad with enough left for us to bring home – lettuces, tomatoes, nuts, cheese, carrots, apples, and more. The salad dressing is out of this world! Like I said, it is hands-down the best pizza in the county. Delicious sauce and fresh crust. We had half with cheese and half with pepperoni. Our plan was to take pizza home, but it was just too good to put in a box for the trip! We ate it all! Everything was made better by a nice glass of cabernet. We were too full for dessert, but LOVED the clever dessert menu – you look through a vintage “viewmaster” to see 3-D photos of the dessert options. Already planning a return visit.

This place never disappoints! Delicious pizza, great customer service, and a cool atmosphere. I love the lunch special, pizza and salad. But good, delicious salad, not just a filler up kind. I highly recommend this place.

The quintessential Gainesville experience. Make sure you look around the back areas, side areas, up and down. The place is COVERED in art, the building is basically a work of art. The food is good too, though the pizza sauce is sort of spicy. Too spicy for the little kids. They still wanted to come back though, maybe I’ll get them a calzone next time. The deep dish was amazing, the salad is fantastic.

This building and everything else Satch touches leaves such good vibes. I’m kind of a local to the 352 area and this is one of my favorite places to order a nice handcrafted bubbly beverage and pizza by the slice or even their incredible salads.

If you’re in Gainesville you must go here and see this cool place! Delicious pizza and wonderful live music while we were there! We sat in the bar area where you order at the bar and you bus your own table. Eclectic decor and you won’t be disappointed! I took pix even of the bathroom, lol!

Love this place – delightfully eclectic with delicious food served in more than generous portions. I had the Satch Salad, which was full of almonds, sunflower seeds, apples over a fresh, crispy bed of lettuce. As for the atmosphere, well that’s worth the trip all by itself! The walls of the bathroom I saw were covered with brightly colored wooden children’s puzzles (see pic) and tile. Odd yes, but so pretty and fun. We ordered at the bar at the back of the complex (then sat outside on a beautiful spring day) where the room was filled with kitschy little toys; bins of dice, plastic zoo animals, rocks…you get the idea. They also had a cool selection of puzzles for sale along with other unique kinds of games, etc. Basically an upscale boutique toy store – with beer
