Stopped in to get some bread around 5:20 Tuesday 8/22/23. Nothing in their cases. Waited 10 minutes for one of the workers to come up and ask me what I was looking for. Saw 3 employees laughing and shooting the bologna in the back. 2 girls saw me, but made no effort to address me. Very disappointed.

A+++ amazingly authentic and unique mini pizzas and just as good as the product(maybe even better) was the nice dark haired lady with glasses smile as she invited me in like i was family! she works with an authentic service purpose which is hard to come by these days.

I stopped in for Italian Cookies and individual sized handmade pizzas to take home. The cookies ( only 3 kinds made in-house – lemon meatballs, chocolate meatballs and fig loaf; the rest are Leo’s Bakery) were mediocre at best. Lemon was dry, the fig was tasteless and the chocolate was just okay. Nothing special here!

Took out trays of mini-pizzas, cookies and mini-cannoli. Our guests devoured them and the loaves of stuffed and Italian bread. Traditional varieties prepared faithfully and deliciously.

Been twice now. Everyone was really nice and quick to help. Both times others with me have found things they were very happy with. Myself ehh, first time was very good quality but seemed expensive, today was missing on the quality for me. Also the dogs barking from in back was sketchy. All and all tho I’m not ready to give up on them, I’ll go back again for another shot.

Ohmygoodness, this little pizzeria/bakery is worth going out of your way for. Order their small pizzas ahead of time. Try several varieties and find your favorite. You won’t be disappointed.

I do not often write reviews, but I have to throw some love to SAVASTANO’S! I moved to Rochester from NYC 8 months ago. I have been missing my “go-to” NYC pizzeria terribly and have been looking for a place where I could find something similar. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT!!! Admittedly, it is not the standard “NYC pie”. But Savastano’s family size square pizza pie perfectly mirrors the square Sicilian pie that I missed so much from “Little Italy” on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. It is exactly what I have been looking for. I couldn’t be happier and I can’t wait to get it again! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! : )
