I can honestly say that the last couple of times I’ve visited the service has drastically improved. Thankfully, they made an improvement to the interior for it to be more inviting & it smells soooo much better. Before, I’d be holding my breath when I entered as the smell was beyond overpowering & stuck to your clothes also. You get ample portions of jollof rice & the meat pieces are big as well. I do wish that they filled up the Egusi & other soup portions in the bowl. I always have to pick out bones though in the Egusi soup before I attempt to eat it. It’s better to pay with cash as they charge a fee on top of tax to use a card. Parking is on the street & usually non-existent.

I am new to African quizine. I tried the Egusi soup with 2 meats (fish and goat).I did not see soup. The fish was so dry and I mean so dry you could not bite through it. I did receive a goat bone, but not sure if there was actually any goat in there. It could have been the dark pieces in there that was black in color and was very hard. The Egusi itself had some nice flavor but Smh im very unhappy. I did not use Door Dash but it is $5 more than the price in store and you could not choose the meat. Scared to try again.

I got the okra soup w/ yam it was delicious. Meat is a little tough to my liking but that’s normal for the culture. Only problem I have is I got soup and extra and neither bowl was full. I pretty much got one full soup, for the price they really should have filled one of the bowls up. Even though, I would go back it had a great favor and it’s really hard to find delicious okra soup that taste authentic!

This place is one of the best African restaurants in the Baltimore area. The Egusi and Okra are especially good, and they give a good amount of meat too. They changed the atmosphere from pre-pandemic times, and it now looks like a very good place for a date. Great food, great atmosphere

They give wayyyy too much rice with not enough of everything else. My container was packed with jollof rice. I also had plantain and 2 pieces of goat meat. With barely any meat on it. I could’ve just ordered a side of rice if I just wanted rice. My friend really enjoyed all of his food. Freshly prepared food. Just not happy with the way the servings were divided.

We were looking for an outside caterer for a reception at Martins West. We tried a few caterers and Mr. Saviour was one of the first caterers to submit the required documentation to Martin’s West.
