This place was ok when we asked about the mofongo the woman at the counter couldn’t tell us what it was, we asked her other questions about the food the but she didnt seem knowledgable about the food. Other than that food was decent, we had the jibarito bestek plate. The rice could need work it was on the mushy side, plantines we felt was a bit to hard for us and underseasoned.

First time and everything was AMAZING!! We love trying new food, and Puerto Rican food was a must and this place was a great experience! The service was incredible and knowledgeable about the menu. The deserts selections was delightful. Over all it was amazing experience, so we are definitely bringing the family back.

Good place to go out for a bite w/ family or friends. We took our daughters and they loved it. Great P.R food made me fill like I am in the Humboldt Park area IYKYK . They also had really tasty pastries which my kids didn’t give me time to take a picture LOL everything was great will definitely return.

The atmosphere is so pretty. You feel like you’re walking into a cafe in another country. I wasn’t planning on getting dessert, but the display was too tempting to pass up. I ordered two – the pistachio tres leches cake and the flan. Both were delicious and made perfectly. I ordered their garlic shrimp meal, and there was enough food for two people. The staff was friendly. I plan on returning.

We stopped in for lunch, first-time diners. It is a great little place located in a small stipmall. We ordered the jibarito sandwich and shrimp mofongo. It was delicious. The decor is really beautiful. Stop in and try the food. A hidden gem of P.R. food for the southwest side.

Really great, cute Puerto Rican cafe and pastry place. We had the chicken mofongo, quesabirria, beef empanadas and shrimp taco. Great ratio of plantain to chicken on the mofongo. Generally you have a bunch of plantain left over when done with the meat. Here you can see in the picture they keep a bunch on the side. The quesabirria was perfectly cooked. Not hard at all. Just a great crunch. Shrimp taco not pictured and large and filling. Beef empanadas were amazing.Only issue is the utensils. They give you plastic utensils and just tough to eat with the mofongo.

What a hidden gem! I’m Puerto Rican married to a Palestinian and we both agreed the food is amazing!!! I wish I would have came here years ago. The food is amazing and so are the desserts. The bakery is absolutely delicious. They even gave me free cupcakes. I tried the alcapurrias, steak jibarito, Birria quesadillas, and arroz con gandules. As far as desserts, we had the lotus cheese cake, pistachio tres leches, Pina colada cupcake, coquito cupcake(the best), vanilla and chocolate cupcake!!!! the desserts were awesome. Please try the coquito cupcake, lotus cheese cake and tres leches were my favorite!!!!
