Great place to get some food while you’re at the lake! The chicken sandwich is big and amazing! The wings are crispy and the sauce is perfectly balanced. Fried pickles with the jalapeño ranch dipping sauce was so good. I honestly didn’t think I would have loved it, but I did and they have ice cream too!! Definitely will be back every time we come here!

It’s a summer Friday evening. We came in the side entrance. Plenty of parking. We arrived at 5:20pm and there were plenty of tables. As time went by, the bar & Grill became quite busy. A waitress sat us. We were server by Lee Anna. I had the shrimp and grits, the only entrée that didn’t come with 2 sides, although the menu states all entrées come with 2 sides. The dish wash good. The grits are grits cakes as opposed to simply cooked grits. Being a southern dish, should have come with bread, yet if you ask for some, they’ll bring you a slice of a very good bread roll. The other dish pictured was ribeye which was $26.99. It was very good. Cooked with Cajun sause, yet we ordered without. Baked potato was cooked to perfection. Since it Friday, a vegetable medley was available that included green beans, carrots, onions, & squash. It was a pleasant evening to eat outside. I’d recommend.

Visited July 13th. Portion size were huge, food was delicious! Absolutely loved that we could take the boat on Badin Lake and doc to go inside the restaurant to eat! We sat inside and it was nice to be in the AC compared to the heat on the patio. They did have huge fans moving air but it was just to humid for us.

Had a great time. The peel and eat shrimp was really good. I was kind of surprised because I had low expectations. The reuben and fries were pretty good too. The reuben would have been 10 times better if the bread was toasted a bit. It was kind of soggy by the time it got to me. Good flavor though.

Have been twice. We ate outside both times. First time there were no flies and no ridiculously loud band. The second time had many flies ( industrial fans not pointed correct direction) and had a live band who werent even playing, just warming up…WAYYYYY to loud! Spinach dip with extra pitas is delicious!!!! Food review: crab cakes rather bland, ribs too much pepper, grilled salmon was delicious, sauteed veggies too much pepper, ” crispy” red potatoes were not close to crispy but rather closer to undercooked, baked mac and cheese with chix tenders was good.

Scallywags’s gets a 1 because there is no zero. Got seated, waited 25 minutes and a waiter/waitress never came to the table. I flagged someone down finally and explained we’d been waiting for over 20 minutes and no wait staff has showed up. He apologized and said he’d find someone to come over. Almost 10 minutes later I left still never having spoken to a server. There were plenty of wait people wandering around, and only about 8 tables occupied. They just are clueless I guess.

Too hot in July and August to sit outside. Enjoyed the Embers but my clothes were soaked. Food was good and waitress did a great job!
