I went to a new Schlotzskys at 1776 Independence Drive in New Braunfels. It was a take out order. It wasn’t busy inside when I got there. I asked for senior discount and pickles. I had to wait over 25 minutes for my food. Others who came in after me was getting their meals. I went up and asked twice. I was told they were working on it. When I got my sandwich I didn’t get any pickles. I also got the stem of a avocado in my sandwich. I am glad I noticed it before I put it in my mouth. When I looked at my receipt I noticed I didn’t get a discount that I asked for.

I was a little disappointed that I had to wait 40 minutes for my order but they assured me this wasn’t the norm. I did get a free cookie for bearing the wait. Maybe a free sandwich would have been better for me 😉

I had a wonderful experience today at this Schlotzky’s location: there was a misunderstanding about my order when as I was picking it up, and Alea (not sure of the spelling…) was so courteous and wonderful in making it right! She is an example of what an employee should be in a place like Schlotzky’s or anywhere else for that matter. I will certainly return to this restaurant with pleasure.
