For me, 1st 5 star in sometime. Took a road trip to Toledo to meet a friend for lunch. Discovered this place and heard they were famous for pie which we both love. Went there and it was standing room only, no tables available. It was that way The whole time we were there. We chose to sit at the counter. The menu was full of home cooking specials like turkey and dressing, roast beef sandwich or dinner, barbecue beef, fried fish sandwich or dinner, many versions of chicken, and even fried bologna sandwich. I hesitantly ordered the roast beef because I’ve been disappointed so many times… But not this time. It clearly was made with love, as if they’re cooking for their family. Literally the best roast beef I’ve tasted in years, and the real, homemade mashed potatoes…WOW! My friend got barbecued beef which she also route over. Of course we finished with pie blueberry for me and apple for her. Both were perfect we’re not overly sweet, no frills. Just your grandmothers blueberry or apple pie. I’m craving to go back there today. It was great.

As they say always a treat to eat at Schmucker’s! I usually either get their wimpy burger or chicken tenderloins with ranch n hot sauce to mix. Burgers made to order. Always happy with my purchase. Fries are fresh cut. Wish they were cooked a little longer to crisp them up but either way still yummy.

I woke up this morning after telling my woman last night I was going for pie in the morning. Schmuckers never disappoints me on the selection. The selection in the picture was a rhubarb pie. First time having it and surprising the nice taste and sweetness.

What started as one of my worst days since being transferred to Toledo Jeep. I stopped in here for dinner. The food was amazing the service was like being at my sister’s house I would say moms or grandmas but the ladies gave me the vibe of older sister making sure I was fed well. It felt warm and welcoming. Tiffany was pleasant and ended my rough day with a happy and full belly. The young man on the grill has been taught well as he steady cranked out the food. I got the last 3 pieces of peach pie to take backto , IL to my family This is going to be my new place to eat as it’s the most at-home dinner I’ve had since I arrived. Thanks for the great meal and hospitality. See you next week.
