Sauce Jake’s was closed we tried Schooner’s. We were so happy with that decision. The two of us split the seafood platter and it still was too much food! And it was really good. The seafood was so fresh, the batter was light and crispy, delicious cole slaw. In addition the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

We decided to try this place while we were staying in Hull on vacation. It was delicious. They were extremely overwhelmed and understaffed, yet they managed to whip out a delicious meal of fish and chips. Our server, Matt, was an absolute delight. Even though he was clearly going in several different directions, he still managed to be courteous and efficient. Well done, Schooner’s!

I just moved nearby and I finally had a chance to try the Schooner‘s bar pizza. It was excellent with plenty of cheese and toppings. It’s a great alternative menu item for those who do not like seafood. I sampled a (plain) grilled chicken pizza and basic cheese pizza. They were ready to be picked up 20 minutes after calling the order in. It might be the best pizza in Hull. We’ll see..

What stood out here for me was the service. Our server Matt went above and beyond during our meal, and it was a big difference maker. The Fisherman’s platter was gigantic and tasty. Nothing was too oily and the bread/fresh butter they give you is a nice starter.

I have always had amazing clam chowder every time I eat there. Friendly servers. I had the fish taco special today after the chowder. The tacos were delicious, and stuffed full of fried haddock. My grandmother had the bone in pork roast. It was juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend schooners.
