My wife and I stopped in randomly and we were glad we did. The owner (s) appeared to be working the bar they were friendly also very busy. Took the time to go over some of the specialty items on the menu and local favorites. I had a homemade pizza, wife had the chicken breast sandwich. Both of our meals were excellent and everyone in the place was having a good time. Glad we stopped and tried it! We will be back!

Totally ripped us off. We ordered the chicken nuggets with fries and got charged for an extra fry, it was supposed to come with a side. Okay, fine then we have a whole lots extra fries. Except when we got our order we only got a handful of fries. When I asked the waitress where the extra order of fries were, she asked the bartender. He came over and said she put the extra fries with the nuggets. There was no way. They didn’t seem to care.

I used to go there and enjoyed several items on the menu. The last time I went there, a young female bartender was refusing to serve me. She had served me in the past without issue. I had been seated at the bar for 10 minutes and noticed she hadn’t acknowledged me. So, I moved to a spot closer to where she was thinking she would be able to see me better. When she finally came around to ask me what I wanted I stated I would like a Dirty Martini. She had a puzzled look on her face. I explained the lady sitting to my right was a bartender at another local establishment and she would be able to explain how to make it if she was unsure and then I asked for a menu. She stared at me for about 10 seconds and then said “Please”? I asked her if she was seriously going to refuse a drink and food unless I said please. She just stood there staring at me. I gathered my belongings and let her know I was leaving and would not be coming back again, as in ever again. I was not rude. I had eaten in this establishment many times before. The owners were always kind and I always had good food a great time there, until this happened. I would be happy to speak with the owners about my experience if they wish to reach out. I have heard other locals say they won’t go there because the bartenders were rude and disrespectful to some elderly patrons, but that wasn’t my experience, so I kept on patronizing them, as I do all my local restaurants. One of my friends who was across the street at Gobblers Knob (where I did go immediately following my departure) stated if he had been there with me that she never would have done that. The fact is, regardless of who I am, how I am dressed, who I am with or whatever my age, it never should have happened. I work in the service industry and I have dealt with rude and disrespectful customers. I was in no way rude or disrespectful.

Came in twice while staying at calumet park for two weeks. Great and relaxed vibe with good Pizza. We’ll come back in next year when we’re back in the area.
