I am German and I tried all German restaurants in North and South Carolina and Georgia. This is the most authentic with the best food. Unfortunately the pictures aren’t as good as the food was. We started eating before I could get a good shot. I had the Roulade with Spaetzle and red cabbage and I felt instantly like home. The atmosphere is very nice and somewhat upscale and the service was top notch. The prices are a little bit on the higher side, but it was so worse it. From the appetizer to the drinks to the desserts. We will come back. Auf Wiedersehen!

Me and some military veteran friends had dinner here last night, several of us spent time in Germany and you could not find a better restaurant in Deutschland I don’t think. Great food well worth the price, lovely owners and staff a true delight to be served by such wonderful people. We’ll be back for sure.

My husband and I are here for our 5 year anniversary and it was such a wonderful way to celebrate! This is such a special place! It way exceeded all my expectations. The food was so phenomenal, especially the pumpkin soup!! The ambiance was so gorgeous and romantic (upscale, not your average cheesy German dining experience). Our server was wonderful. It was worth every penny! I also highly recommend the caramel mousse! Yummy!! One of the most amazing places in Greenville, in my opinion!

We live in TN, and we were visiting my father in law in SC. I’m German (living in the US since 9 years now), and my husband was in the military stationed in Germany for over 10 years- he is always looking for places that have German food. The food was outstanding- like in a fancy restaurant back home in Germany. The waitress was very nice, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you so much for bringing me back home for a short time. We will be back for sure.

1st time experience in a German restaurant – only one word, Fantastic! From the greeters to the waitress, from the restaurant setting to food, from drinks to dessert… enjoyed it very much every minute in the Schwaben House. For sure making it one of my favorite restaurants in town! Btw, I hope you enjoy the wheat beer as much as I do, cheers!

This place has delicious food, the decoration is great and the location is easy to find. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the customer service. S as we walked in through the back a waitress received us with nothing but an upset look. She seemed upset that we had shown up at 7:30pm. Then she said: “can I help you” as if we were lost and not supposed to be there. I asked her can we have a table for 2. She picked up 2 menus and signaled us to follow her. No words were spoken. She said what the special was and asked for our drink order. When she came back for appetizers she seemed bothered by us having questions. I asked for a couple more minutes and googled the information instead. Another waitress that was around there treated us very nice and even made recommendations. We were rushed to place our orders because the kitchen was closing. Other than this experience everything else was great. And the place was empty!
