This place was great. The pasta is made in-house, and they have high quality oil even for dipping your bread. We got the Chicken Marsala, which had a perfect marsala wine sauce that wasn’t creamy. The rigatoni that came along with it was El dente and great as well. We also got a penne vodka, which was good as well I just prefer it lighter on the cream. Lastly, we did escarole and beans for a side that was seasoned perfect. I’d definitely go back and will be for sure.

Scolapasta has the ambiance of an Italian Bistro, and I was excited to have some fresh homemade pasta. Unfortunately, the Rigatoni I ordered was well under cooked, causing me to not finish it. The Chicken Parmesan was also cold, not even warm.

This is easily one of our favorite places in Ft Lauderdale. We have been here many times, bringing family and friends who always love it. The first time I was here, I ordered the homemade shells. While waiting for my meal, I was fascinated to see someone making pasta by hand. After getting my food, which was phenomenal, she stopped at the table to ask how it was. I told her it was amazing and she said that she had just made it as I was watching. Couldn’t be more fresh and delicious. Every time we go, they remember us and treat us so well.

This was my first time at Scolapasta but certainly not my last. After several recommendations from friends, I assembled a group of friends to give it a try — and a wonderful Italian treasure it was. Upon entering the place, you face the bar; the friendly bartender welcomes you by assuring you that someone will come by shortly. Our Server Adrian (not “Yo Adrian”) presented the menus, took our drinks order, came back with drinks, and began to verbally enumerate a long bunch of item specials that were not on the menu… he highly emphasized that all pastas are homemade in the house, and all veggies are fresh (not canned or frozen). And he remarkably explained how each of those dishes were prepared. The food was exceptional, portions were ample generous, and expect to spend about $30-35/person not including drinks, tax, and gratuity.

Absolutely perfect. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately sat. Meatball trio, veal parmigiana, and spinach lasagna over pink sauce were all delicious and we would enjoy them again. Pistachio cheesecake was a delicious closing. Service was excellent. Metered parking right outside but the closest spots were full, however it was a Saturday night.

The food was delicious. Be sure to request Adrian for your server. His knowledge of the menu were stellar. All the staff was very attentive, my water was never empty. Everything was delicious! I’ll be back next time I visit Fort Launderdale.

Absolutely positively outstanding! Their pasta is made there everything is made with fresh ingredients. We had the octopus and grilled romaine appetizers. I ordered the homemade in house shells with broccoli rabe and sausage my boyfriend had the seafood risotto. I ordered a nice bottle of red wine from Sicily and cannolis for dessert. Raul and team provided excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for everything! We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and we plan to return.

So this is a bit of a tricky review. The operations are odd. A lot of informal rules. The hostess was pretty much the business prevention department and not helpful. No we’re full or no you need to wait 20 minutes, both would have been acceptable, but asking for a name but not writing it on the wait list wasn’t a warm and fuzzy. The waitstaff takes the entire order at once not in stages (drinks, apps, main, dessert) which is odd but honestly totally fine. Our waiter was overworked but was actually great. The food was exceptional. Dessert was ok, good wine list. So if you’re patient and can be persistent you’ll really enjoy yourself. Don’t let the small speed bumps stop you from going it’s totally worth it..
