Strolling through town a wanted a little snack to go with my healthy smoothie from earlier. I walked in and was warmly greeted by a cheerful guy. After checking out the menu, I asked him what his favorites were and he made all the tacos sound so delicious. I was kinda of leaning towards a bowl, but after hearing all the taco goodness I grabbed a Cajun shrimp taco to hold me over till later.

This is a quaint little taco spot near Maplewood train station. It is worth a try if you are in and around looking for a quick bite. The seating inside is limited but they also got seating outside for the summer time. The service is excellent. They also have a frozen yogurt machine and cotton candy if someone in your group has a sweet tooth. They are also very accommodating and can swap meat for beans if needed.

The food is excellent here. Forget about Chipotle. Grab a burrito or a taco from this place, and you won’t be disappointed. I had the chorizo burrito, and I was not disappointed. With sriracha and sour cream dips, this burrito was the bomb. Will def come back.

The flavor in these tacos are one of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken, pork, and the steak were all so amazing. The portions were not skimped and the sauces that they added on top just gave it an extra kick. I can’t wait to go back. I thank the owner for the recommendations. Highly recommend getting a side of the corn in a cup.

Great staff and great food. Came here on a whim after going golfing with friends. Small joint that picks a lot of punch. I got the Hawaiian fish taco, jerk chicken taco, totchos and empanadas. They were all excellent. The jerk chicken was a bit salty but had excellent spice. The tortilla fell apart on the fish taco. Toppings were probably on the wet side. Empanadas we’re awesome and the totchos were huge. Definitely will be back to try more items.

What can I say? I’ll travel anywhere for really good tacos. Lucky for me I don’t have to go very far because right around the corner, in Maplewood, is a fantastic taco spot: this one. We’ve ordered from here a number of times and they are just so good. We’ve tried every taco available, their quesadilla, they’re cheeseburger crunch wrap (which is to die for) and their side of corn and frijoles which we always get. These are seriously one of our favorite spots to eat!!

I was in the mood for some tacos and decided to try this restaurant. I called in my order of cajun shrimp tacos. When I arrived I parked nearby in the train station lot. I walked in and told the young lady I was there for a pick up. My food was ready and I paid about $16 for 3 tacos. When I got home I dug in and the tacos weren’t bad at all. The only thing I didn’t care for was the actual tortilla was a bit hard. Not sure if it was flour or corn. That was the only issue but the actual seasoning of everything was pretty good and light. I would try other tacos at this location.

Francis was really warm and friendly and very accommodating. We were a group of 7 and Francis helped us with a smile. Frozen yogurt was light and flavorful, and vegetarian taco was bomb! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quick bite. Loved it.

Scratch taco is a Mexican themed joint for a quick taco dinner or bowl. I ordered the Baja tacos which were tasty and came 3 for 15.99. The available sides range from traditional rice, beans and chips to corn, dirty rice and taco rolls. The establishment was clean and lightly decorated for Halloween. The Baja fish tacos were served on flour tortillas with a cabbage slaw on top and a tasty, creamy sauce. The tacos were tasty. On the other hand, this establishment does, unfortunately, practice disingenuous marketing practices. Both the menu posted on the front door and the menu inside do not reflect the real prices. All of the tacos are priced at $12 but there is a +4 charge for fish as well as short rib which is not disclosed to the guest until they pay. Additionally, if you don’t ask for your receipt you will remain ignorant of the actual price you paid. Please update your menu so as to be fully transparent to your supportive guests.
