This was our go to spot during our time in Roanoke. Delicious every single time! Highly recommend the grilled greens salad. The Thomas dogs were a definitely favorite. Everything we tried was delicious. Steak sub, spicy chicken, chili cheese fries, taco salad. highly recommend Screaming Vegan for both vegans and non-vegans alike.

All I can say is GOT-DANG!! BEST vegan food I’ve ever had!!! We were in Roanoke for the weekend and literally ate there twice! Husband liked the Mac Daddy Burger the best. I loved the hot and spicy sausage with he chili on top and the mac n cheese is delicious.

Nice little take out place. Delicious food! They were out of a lot of what I wanted because they’re a very popular place. I got the mushroom oyster po boy, fries, and Mac and cheese. It was all delicious! Very colorful exterior with painted parking spaces so that was cool too!

I rarely come back to review restaurants on here… but WOW! The Screaming Vegan just gained a new customer. Sadly being in Blacksburg it’s a little far, but I will definitely make the trip to Roanoke just for this. The area looks a little rough at first, but everyone was complete kind, and I’ve learned that those small local restaurants overdeliver on everything else. The inside was extremely well kept & clean, the people behind the counter were friendly & helpful without coming off as fake, and the cook did some MAGIC back there, on top of it all the prices were extremely fair. The steak sub was incredible (haven’t had anything like that in awhile and I can’t suggest it enough), my girlfriend said that her nuggets were the best plant-based nuggets she’s had, and we seriously considered driving back that night for those chili-cheese-fries. In summary: Even if the Screaming Vegan it’s out of your way, if you’re at all seeing this restaurant show up on Google, you gotta try it! Don’t miss out.

Go here!!! Damn good food!! Great staff. Perfect service. Take out only, but they have a little patio off to the side. I ordered the quinoa salad and the oyster mushroom po boy. Delicious. My omnivore partner ordered the chopped steak sandwich. He said “Also delicious!!”

The people who work here are so nice and laid back. Relaxed environment and they know how to cook! My go-to order is the black bean burger with Cajun fries. I’ve never had vegan food that has tasted so flavorful or delicious. I’m usually a fast eater, but I find myself slowing down so I can savor it. Love it here! I hope they never leave Roanoke.

BEST vegan food I’ve ever had, hands down. I got a cheeseburger and chili cheese fried which I haven’t been able to have in a bit, and they were perfect. The patio area outside was beautiful, and even their drinks were vegan! Awesome place!

Amazing find while working in Roanoke for a couple of days! The owner/chef was so friendly and helpful. We went with the award-winning MAC Daddy Burger with a side of incredible brussel sprouts and the Chopped Burger Sub with a side of fries. Delicious! This is definitely one to stop by and try. They have outdoor seating or get takeout on a rainy day. The chef seems to be innovative and creative. We wish we were going to be in town longer to try more items!
