The best fish and chips I’ve ever had! The fish was tender and flaky without being dry. The Piccadilly chips were nice and crispy on the outside. The Sailor’s platter was well worth the price with the coleslaw and chowder. Both of those were very tasty. The owner was very friendly and stopped to chat. The waitress was darling and very efficient. It was a nice night out.

Fish was fresh and spot on. Very authentic to what you’d find across the pond if you’re getting fish and chips. Chowder and mashed potatoes were so so. Very clean place with friendly staff. I would say it was overpriced. Paid nearly 60 for the two meals pictured (including drinks). If I had paid only 40, I would probably come back again. Still, it was worth trying once. Hopefully they can stay open with those high prices and highly specialized menu.

Presentation was awesome. Fish and chips were delicious. Sheppard’s pie was good but not piping and weirded my husband out so he couldn’t wait it. If we’re ever craving fish and chips we might go back. Wish their prices were a few dollars cheaper.

Great fish and chips. Totally fills you up. I really like the thin batter. The krab salad is good with shrimp. The decor is evolving into what I would assume is a more Scottish feel (Having never been to Scotland). We will be back.

This was probably the worst example of fish and chips we have EVER had. I was very much looking forward to some tasty fish and chips so was eager to try some place close by. I read the reviews and many folks said it was not very good considering the price but we decided to try it for ourselves. Some people just have different taste. Upon arrival the place was pretty empty and it being close to dinner peak, I should have been concerned enough to just walk away. NO not us. I went ahead and got some things to try out. We got a three piece fish and chips with one piece of halibut battered, one piece of halibut grilled and one piece of battered cod. The image on a flyer we got in the mail showed it comes with chips and coleslaw. Then we got three piece battered oysters with two extra oysters and three battered shrimp. This came to $56 and I was a little surprised but decided to just go with it. When the food arrived in the little to go containers there was only two containers. I was like hmmm where is my $56 worth of food. I open the containers and there is no coleslaw. Just a couple small pieces of fish and chips. Cole slaw is EXTRA! On a $21 3 pc fish and chips the coleslaw is extra? REALLY people??? Ok fine so its expensive for what you get. How does it taste? The grilled halibut was this thin tiny slice and was so dry and tasteless it was not even edible. More like fish jerky. The battered fish was just so so and actually pretty greasy. Chips were bland and not crisp and the oysters were supposed to be large but only 2 of the 5 were large. The rest were tiny and literally tasted very old, like they had turned. We could not eat them for fear of getting ill. We will not be going back.

We went in for an early dinner tonight. I have been in for lunch before, but hubby has never been before. He loved it (so do I). We’ll definitely be back.

This restaurant has a menu with options leaning to traditional Scottish cuisine but also has a variety of other menu options that are hearty with decent portion size. The service staff we had were accomodationg. Over all a good experience.

No Finn and Haddi but there were a lot of choices mostly fried. They do offer unbattered (grilled?) seafood as well. Clam chowder has nice seasoning but tastes like “landlocked” chowder… Not like what you get at sea-side restaurants. Heavy on tea-party politics ie. Pocket versions of the Constitution etc along with a mish-mash of feel good quotes. This restaurant used to be a Marie Calendars’ and I felt like I wanted pie…. The decor is rustic but mostly because upgrades seemed unaffordable. I have said more about the interior than I have the food….I think you get my meaning. $20 bucks serves two people but that was without drinks. Food is much more akin to fast food.
