Sea Harbor fish market and restaurant is a quaint little fish market and restaurant located in Salinas area. I ordered a crab sandwich and a combo plate: the seafood plate included fish, crab cakes, and shrimp with rice instead of fries or coleslaw. My daughter ordered a few different things. I consider their food very expensive for what we got.

Fresh and tasty! I told the staff we were going to eat much later that evening and they accommodated a partial cook of the fish which worked out perfectly.

This is my 2nd time eating here and I remembered why I don’t come more often. The chowder was cold, bland and overly thick from too much flour. The salad dressing’s too much horseradish made Louie salad hard to enjoy. To top things off the waitress was rude, not a single smile or word out of her. She was an older asian woman, maybe the owners wife? Maybe she didn’t feel well, or is just unhappy but why take it out on the patrons?

Excellent seafood market and restaurant . Family owned and operated. Best fish and chips in Salinas. Great grilled options too. Clam Chowder is phenomenal!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips!! I never knew the sold meals!!! Now I want to back every day and try something new!!! Don’t look this place over!! I was misled by the name fish market until I went to the salad shoppe and it was closed….. now that I know…. I will be back!! You should go too if you want a fresh seafood meal or order!!!

I like to go here for dinner occasionally for their shrimp louie salad special with a cup of New England clam chowder. Chowder is rich & thick with lots of finely chopped clams, veggies. For me, the salad always has enough shrimp to last until the last bite. My husband likes their fish & chips. 4 thick pieces of fish lightly breaded & deep fried. Fries are just OK. It is a fish market, too. Their prices are competitive & always looks fresh. Another person had about 6 to 8 large grilled prawns on their salad.

Greatest Fish & Chips in Monterey. Even though I was looking at their menu that was relecting prices from 7yrs ago it is still the best Fish & Chips around. They use Cod and they must change the Oil on fryer because the oil wasn’t burnt taste.

Family run market & restaurant. Absolutely fresh fish every time. Simple but very good. Crab Coctail is large and less expensive compared to Phil’s in Moss Landing. This is a hidden gem!

I was interested in this restaurant after reading the three reviews on Trip Advisor. It’s a bit difficult to find and is located in an unimpressive strip mall. When you enter the restaurant you immediately see a refrigerated case of fresh fish sold at retail. All looked good but the Sea Bass, Swordfish and local Halibut all looked outstanding. My wife started with the house salad and I enjoyed the clam chowder both included in the $19.95 entrée price. Wife had the Halibut which was good but my Sea Bass was off the charts and cooked perfectly. One of the best pieces of seafood I’ve ever had and at $19.95!Wines by the glass are limited and this obviously isn’t their forte. Nevertheless, I had a fair size pour of Sauvignon Blanc for $6.95. Not great glassware but no complaints.
