A very cute cozy place! Every time I sit at the bar, the bartender is always so nice even on busy evenings when they are getting all the drinks for the tables. Excellent craft beer selection! Love the boom boom shrimp! Can’t wait to get back there to try the calamari strips they were sold out this time!

This little tavern is quite the hidden gem in Kettering and it’s a crime that my fiancé and I only just learned about it in the past three years of living in Dayton. The food is delicious, the oysters are the largest and tastiest that we have encountered in any restaurant in the local area, and their service was second to none. It’s so popular that the entire parking lot was packed and we were lucky enough to find a spot when we did (plus our server says people sometimes have to park in unrelated lots when it’s super busy). I would recommend this place to anyone with a big hankering for seafood after a long week. Definitely coming back soon!

Absolute OUTSTANDING!!! Love trying local favorites so Sea Jax Tavern is a MUST! This place was packed to the gills, definitely worth getting there early if you want to avoid a wait. The jambalaya was excellent and I just had to try the sticky fingers burger YUM!!! Even though it was busy the service was excellent! Definitely planning on visiting again, highly recommended!

This is a very cute family run bar with a added tables. The food was good but not worth the long wait that is normal. We had the jambalaya and it had a strong tomato taste. The mix of other components, rice, shrimp and sausage was great. But it was a bit overpowering with the tomatoes. We also had a mushroom Swiss burger with no bun. I asked for med well and it was well done. It was good, tasted like fresh meat and not a frozen gfs patty so that helped. But not for the price of each dish.

Awesome place with incredible food! I had such a hard time deciding what to get! Ended up trying the sticky fingers burger which was delicious…not too spicy and the PB complimented the sauce well! We got the calamari as an appetizer and we’re not disappointed! So soft and not rubbery at all! Be sure to try their homemade sides too! Loved it all! Keep it up!

Loved everything about this place. I have to leave a rave for the black bean soup. Never had anything like it and loved it. Also had the fish tacos and they were outstanding (and beautiful; see the picture.) Happily come back here for more!

Food was good. Had the jambalaya and the shrimp creole. Would order either again. No waiting area, outside benches, or room at the bar for our reasonable 20 minute wait to be seated. Restaurant is small and LOUD on what was described by the server as a slow night. Hate having to yell across the table at dinner to have a conversation. Server was friendly and good as his job, but staffing or other issues kept him away from the table. Waited 30 minutes after declining dessert to get a bill and get cashed out. Seems like a fun place with good food, but left annoyed.
