We did the tasting menu and it was amazing. Every bite was excellent and the fish was incredibly fresh and buttery. Some of the best fish quality I’ve had in LA. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town.

best sushi in LA. I don’t even like sushi much, but I crave this place. the sunset roll 10/10. salmon truffle.. melts in your mouth literally butter. the rolls are so unique compared to any sushi place i’ve ever been and FRESH. never experienced a “fishy” taste before. the atmosphere is a vibe with good music always. the staff is so friendly. highly highly recommend

This was my first time ever trying Presses Sushi, and what an interesting concept! While it had great flavor and I loved the fish, it fell apart and was more difficult to eat than regular sushi or cut rolls. I went with the Tuna Citrus ($19.50) because the server said it was one of their most popular from the pressed section. It had tuna, spicy albacore, gobo, jalapeño, and a small fresh lemon slice on top. Pressed sushi is something I recommend every sushi lover try at least once for the experience.

Been to many sushi restaurants in LA and Seabutter definitely has that ambiance, food and service. They recently opened so definitely try this place out. Absolutely love this place!!! Met the owner, Angie, and she was patient and helpful for a couple that was “hangry”! Oh I so appreciate you!

First time eating at Seabutter and we had an amazing experience. The food and service was exactly what we were looking for. Hip and cozy at the same time. The sushi chefs were a lot of fun. I highly recommend sitting at the bar to have a more interactive experience

Decent sushi with different roll options but was expecting a bit more flavor and quality suggestive of the restaurant name for something near Beverly Hills. This restaurant is more of a lunch place not a high dining sushi experience. Most of the dishes are fusion. Pressed sushi is decent but falls apart unlike other restaurants with decent pressed sushi. Aburi style flamed sushi is a standout.

Former Crazy Fish location on Olympic off Doheny in BH. Quite busy on a Friday night during DineLA week. Friendly service. Nice plating and presentation. However the main ingredients, all the raw pieces (we had uni, yellowtail, salmon, oysters, kanpachi, tuna, toro, albacore etc) are not so fresh. The fishy taste lingered in my mouth afterwards. DineLA menu $99 which is their regular “omakase” item on the menu. We ordered a la carte and ended up paying the same per person but more pieces. Avoid the pressed sushi which tasted funny – not the typical sushi rice taste. We all didn’t like it.

Delicious sushi with very attentive and friendly staff. The place is very busy at the weekend so make sure to make a reservation. Even though it was busy we were sat down immediately which was nice. Sushi was delicious and there was a big choice of options. Warning it’s on the more expensive side for sushi but totally worth the visit. Street parking is pretty easy in the evenings. Even during the weekend. Enjoy!
