I would recommend the Seagull to somebody who’s looking to get a good bite to eat and some great tropical/island inspired drinks with a view. The restaurant is located right on a canal in Babylon, and has plenty of space to dock your boat. We ordered the muscles in white wine sauce, and shrimp tacos which were both great choices. The owner came out with a microphone and asked all First Responders, Military, Veterans, Teachers, Nurses, Truckers, and more to please stand and had the whole restaurant applaud for them. Then, they had the owners Daughter come out and sing the National Anthem. We definitely weren’t expecting it but was nice and they seem like real patriotic and down to earth people. Overall, I would recommend The Seagull Restaurant and Bar if you like good seafood, drinks, views, and atmosphere!

Really cool spot: right off of a marsh. The food was pretty good: delicious pickle! Service was subpar since our waitress failed to ask us for any drink refills & kind of gave us flack for needing four separate cheques for our expense report.

Nice outdoor seating by the water. The place wasn’t crowded for midweek and it was early evening around 5. They had raw oysters and decent crab cakes. Also tried their clams oreganata. The prices are about average for what you would expect from a place like this (though I was hoping for some sort of happy hour specials). Food was decent. The crab cakes was tasty and had good zesty taste. The outdoor seating was really nice.

Food was ok but paying $16.00 for tiny little neck clams (and they weren’t even a dozen) along with some “not so there Oysters” was to say the least. There wasn’t very many people around and the waitress seemed rushed. On top of that there were signs everywhere “please tip in cash” and then when you get the bill, they tack on another 4% if you use your credit card. With the economy the way it is they should be happy anyone is able to eat out anymore. There was a lot of open seats by the water so that was nice, but anyone who forces me to pay more because I use a credit card I won’t be going back to. Not everyone walks around with wads of money (I don’t for safety reasons).

The secret is out… This local local local place is very local and a must visit for everyone else now. Cool atmosphere, nice views, friendly and efficient service. The chicken sandwich is delish. Check out the nice specials too.

We visited Seagull for the first time yesterday because we wanted to go somewhere with outdoor seating by the water. We definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and view by the docks, but the service and food left much to be desired. When we first walked in, nobody acknowledged us or asked how many people were in our party for seating. Several servers walked past us, and we had to awkwardly ask one of them if there was a waiting list. We were told it was going to be a 10 minute wait, but we ended up waiting 20+ minutes and watching as other parties before and after us got seated. In hindsight, we probably should’ve taken all that as a sign to abandon ship and go somewhere else. We put in our orders and had to wait half an hour for our appetizer, then another 30-40 minutes for our entrees to come. Our baked clams were okay but were gritty and tasted very similar to the frozen baked clams you can get from the supermarket. During our long wait for our food, a couple servers came by to ask if we needed anything… Weird because what we needed was our food, nothing else. When the Caribbean BBQ Shrimp wrap arrived, we were disappointed to find that it was cold and the shrimp was battered and fried instead of barbecued as stated in the menu. At that point, it was past 9pm and we didn’t want to wait any longer to have it corrected. The seafood medley was good but not good enough to make up for the rest of the night. All in all, would not return here.

Easy on and off Bergen Avenue. This restaurant can easy be seen from a vehicle moving in normal traffic. There is wheelchair accessible parking (one) and a ramp to enter inside the building. Upon entering, I was happy to be able to choose my own table. There were huge scenic windows which gave a panoramic view of the outside settings. The view of the water was therapeutic. The Blackened Scottish Salmon and the Barbecue Shrimp Wrap was delicious. The menu was not too salty at all. The prices were reasonable, and yes they have a bar here and coffee ☕. The attendant was courteous and professional and checked in on us. Overall a nice cozy restaurant and would definitely recommend this place for dining in with a significant other and family and loved ones.

Spent a couple of days exploring Long Island. Stopped in here for lunch. It was really good! They are renovating their dock area so it’s a little messy but will be great when they have it done I’m sure! We had a couple of appetizers and they were great and very filling. Enjoyed a couple of beers, good selection. Would definitely recommend a stop to check this little place out. Our server was awesome, very nice, knowledgeable about the menu and quick. We also enjoyed the sleepy dog in the room. So cute! Plenty of parking.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The fact that you can enjoy your food right on the water is an immediate selling point. I’ve been a few times now and have tried different foods, and everything is so delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive to the guests. Even the bar inside has a cool, homey vibe to it. I wish I lived closer, I’d be here all the time!

Didn’t really like their mozzarella sticks and oyster but the truffle bites were good from their appetizers. For the main, I only had the Salmon and a salad(most likely beach beet salad) and they were really good! The cheesecake for dessert was regular.
