The Seasons of Japan Restaurant is a traditional Japanese food house with a a reasonably price and a rasoanable food, which is a good choice for those that are near at the Shattuck Avenue in Dowtown Berkeley, California.

Such a lovely Japanese lovely dessert place! You would always find one kinda of your favorites. Taiyaki ice cream is a must to try if you never had one before. I ordered the caramel black teamcrepe cake an and matcha bamboo tube this time. It’s so good so delicious and so much fun to eat.

Ordered a udon and the taste is very salty. I added a soft boiled egg and it was the most hard boiled egg ever. See yolk crumbles.. sorry to disturb you guys…

Not many vegetarian or vegan options, but still good food (I ordered the Yakisoba with vegetables) that wasn’t too oily, a pleasant ambience, and decent service.

Decent ramen, the large size is huge and filling. Mt Fuji ramen is okay, but the meat was so soft it just melts in your mouth.

Does it have to be authentic? I struggled to find a sign making that claim so I don’t understand those reviews. It’s in the style of and honestly — do you have time to keep up with real Japanese restaurant trends? I don’t. I like the food here.

All their food is pretty salty but it’s a fast, solid, relatively inexpensive lunch option

Nice priced rice and chicken bowls. Good sushi rolls for the low as well. It’s a fair trade seeing how there is little to none table service. Most is order at the counter and self served condiments. A little generic but good flavors. Plus it is right next to downtown Berkeley bart, worth checking out If you have never been.

Waited about 30 minutes for two sushi roll orders (16 pieces). For a mild Sunday evening with no line, and for such an average amount of food, this seemed a bit ridiculous. The plate was also served with an empty soy sauce dish, but no soy sauce on the table or anywhere nearby.
