Really homey and cute restaurant. The staff are really friendly, professional and helpful. Menu changes often. Currently ‘The Gus’ is our favorite. The chicken is so well prepared and tender. Spicing is on point, perhaps a bit heavy on the pickles. So many items to try, you might have to visit more than once. A lot of bar seating, great for singles and small groups. Also tables for larger groups. The biscuits are massive so you get great value for money. Highly recommended.

I went there for simple lunch and I ordered Big Al as I want some food with gravy! Their gravy is pretty good that you can even eat some ground sausage not just like a soup or so. You can choose to put the gravy on top of the biscuit or the side, and I love it covering and soaking in the biscuit. There’s no AC, but the vibe is very chill and cozy. Was a bit sad because I am not a big fan of dine-in alone, but this shop, the staff, the food, and the welcoming vibe made my day! The area is not very busy so it shouldn’t be too hard to find a parking space, and they are located next to a bus stop route 40. Would love to try the fried chicken next time!

Food was really good. If you’re tired of or not a fan of traditional breakfasts, which can get boring to me, then this is a nice change up for you. Very big portions, chicken was cooked perfect, spicy, flavorful. All around good.

A very warm and tidy biscuit place. “The Gus” a chicken fried steak biscuit is definitely a massive plate full and the Varner was delightful, it came with Andouille Sausage links and jalapeño jelly!

Wow I’ve driven by this place countless of times and never knew the biscuits and gravy would be out of this world . I would say it’s a hidden gem but it’s right on Leary in the Fre-Lard area. The Big Al is sooooo good , especially when the over easy egg yolk starts spilling into the gravy over the biscuit. Get the Peach Habanero on the side, you will not be disappointed!

Great place to get some excellent brunch and biscuits. I had the sandwich (forgot the name) with the chicken and the eggs. I asked to sub the jam: the chicken was crispy, juicy, moist and super flavorful. The sauce on the sandwich was also excellent too. One note, the jam on the biscuits is super powerful so get it on the side. Overall, great place!
