We wanted to stop by this new place and check it out. Very neat place inside, and the waitress was friendly. The wings were good. However, the service wasn’t great. If you are just opening a new place, you really need to pay attention to the customers (so you can attract more). There were about 14 customers today. So, the business was not busy at all. We didn’t get any extra plates for the wings, napkins, ketchup (well, they forgot to bring our fries) or the ticket. We had to go ask for these things. We hope next time the service will be better.

My wife and I stopped in this evening to try this new venue out. My wife had the turkey club and I had the burger (build it your way, so you have to tell them what you want on it). The food came out hot, including the fries. The food had a great taste and the servings were plentiful. My wife had tea and I had a beer. The service was good and the waitress was very friendly. The price was right where I expected it to be for a better dining experience. Second Street Station will land in our top 5 to 10 places to eat out (which we do a lot). The business is clean and the atmosphere is cool. The only thing I would recommend, since the food is brought out by a server is to double check to make sure salt & pepper and extra napkins are on the table. I’m sure this will be worked out as the kinks are eliminated… Welcome to Taylor and hope you are very successful…

Got a sneak peak at the new place and it was great! Staff was friendly, service was quick… the lemon pepper wings are fire!! And the pizza is yum! Recommend you check it out when they open full time!

When I came into second St bar and grill, it had me immediately aesthetically pleased!. I can really appreciate the mission into keeping Taylor dug deep into their roots. I like how they have done a good job at keeping the drinks unique in flavor. I really like jalapeño poppers and meat lovers pizza!

I am sad to say my second visit was not much better than the first. It still takes way too long to get food from the kitchen. Service is very slow but they are obviously short staffed. They have great cocktails and beer was cold with lots of options. When food does arrive it is very good, although cold. Staff is extremely nice and I feel bad for them and the struggles. I hope the owner and mgmt can figure it all out and become a regular hang out for us locals. We need a cool spot like this in Taylor – our options for cocktails and good food are extremely limited.
