I sat at the bar for some drinks and some cute little cookies. They were yummy!! The service was so awesome, and the people behind the bar made the evening so fun and pleasant! Lovely experience.

A new place to enjoy Calave in style! They have the most delicious cocktail (Hebron Cascade) and the most delicious atmosphere (beautifully designed space, kudos to the owner).

Had a delicious dinner during the soft opening. The lamb tartare and the crudo were great appetizers and we enjoyed the tongue skewer and the grilled dorade as well.

It’s only been open a few days, but in the two times I’ve been the food, drinks, and service have been consistently great. Eager to see how the place grows. Think of it a bit like a slightly warmer, more casual, and brighter Protegé with food and drinks in the same neighborhood of quality. Already looking forward to going back.

Loved our experience there. Every dish was delicious and the cocktails were super creative. Glad that Cal Ave is getting a new eatery and lounge like this one. We will be back!

Really great upscale place on california ave. We loved the cocktails (we have high standards, and recommend the Hebron cascade) and the food was really creative and well executed. Our favorites were the twice fried mushrooms and the chicken liver mousse. But everything was tasty. The outdoor area was a little loud when we were there – not in a bad way but something I noticed.

We ordered oysters, rice, burrata, iberico, skewers, parker house rolls. Everything was excellent and beyond expectations. Looking forward to enjoy this place for years to come!

Incredible creation by owner Steve (also the founder of Pausa in San Mateo, our favorite restaurant on the peninsula). Amazing food, ambiance, and service. Kim was our server and she was perfect.

The dishes are quite small, so don’t be fooled by the reasonable-looking prices — this is an expensive restaurant and you will need to open your wallet wide if you want a hearty meal. But if you’re like me, it’s more than worth it for a special occasion. It’s just that good.

What restaurant can’t even answer the phone? Tried at various times, multiple nights. If the bad service starts before you even go to dine, you know it’s bad
