Food was not bad for small town. Prices seemed pretty consistent with other places I have been too. Waitstaff seems to be local high school kids. Overall if you don’t want to travel too far to eat sushi then this place is good enough. If you want authentic great sushi you should venture to areas closer to the city.

Decided to try this restaurant one day for lunch. I picked up the food since they don’t do delivery. I picked three rolls, and had planned to share with another coworker. I picked 3 pretty safe choices since I didn’t how how the quality of the food would be. Once I got there to pick it up, both workers were very nice and personable; however, the food was bad. The rolls tasted old and not fresh whatsoever. The cucumber was not crunchy, the avocado with a brown tinge, and the seafood was not fresh. The menu also states that the 3 sushi roll lunch special was $15.95, and the other dish that another coworker ordered was $10.95; however, my bill was $32.00 which I feel like I got ripped off with. I won’t be back here or be recommending this to any others. There are numerous others in the area to try instead.

Second time tonight and really like this place. Not a sushi fan at all, so no comment there. But the love the shrimp tempura roll, and again enjoyed the chicken teriyaki. And again ordered too much! Quiet and charming ambiance, and eclectic music! Great place!

Ar first I thought this place was just another basic Japanese restaurant but after ordering food and talking to my waiter I quickly changed my mind. The waiter was really great, not overbearing but still really helpful and nice. He helped me pick food that was within my dietary constraint and wasn’t dismissive about it. Our rolls were made to order and all the food was very fresh. The Bokumbap (Korean fried rice) was extremely tasty. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Came here for the first time and we were so impressed. The owner was wonderful. The food was spectacular. Best sushi we’ve ever had. Food is fresh, clean restaurant, lovely ambiance. We will be regulars now!

Amazing place!!!!!! Their ramen is so good. Perfect what I need for the day. And the sushi is like no one else’s you can taste the heart and the soul in their food. And you can see they put so much love into what they do. I am a little addicted now. If you want something authentic and great you gotta come here.

The one star I gave was for the fact that the guy who made my sushi was polite. The Sushi sucked and was way over priced. I threw most of it away. Not fresh and poorly prepared. Spider roll was way over cooked. Samon and yellowtail were not fresh..

Ordered through doordash and got ramen with beef and some bubble thai tea and it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. The ramen was basically just a hotpot with noodles, all kinds of random unnecessary vegetables, and everything was so bland including the beef and noodles. Store bought instant ramen tastes like heaven in comparison. The bubble thai tea was actually alright and was the only part of the meal I enjoyed.

I continue to have poor experiences with Sendai. The last time I stopped by, the decided to close early. Over the weekend we placed an order using doordash. They didn’t start working on the order until it was supposed to deliver. It was so bad that the doordash driver had to call his boss and have them call me to apologize that it was so late and make sure I wasn’t upset with the driver. We eventually got our food. They messed up the drinks, the sushi we ordered was particularly fresh and it was certainly nothing impressive.
