My favorite gals & I decided to venture out on Cinco de Mayo not realizing how ridiculously crowded it would be. No parking & security…yes security. We were fortunate to find parking spots & then headed into the bar area since wait was over an hour for the restaurant side. Service was incredible considering how busy it was. They were not serving food in the bar area due to the holiday (unknown to us). When I mentioned this to “security” shirt personnel, he took care of it. The manager personally took our food order & we were very happy ladies, can’t have margaritas on an empty stomach! We even got free t-shirts & tequila shots. Food was great, always love Mexican cuisine. Stop by if you’re in the area.

We shopped in are 2pm on Sunday, instant seating. Guessing with all the holiday parties going on, that would be the reason we were seated right away. I had a steak Chimichanga, we had Guacamole, salsa and queso with chips which were really good. Queso was hot, chips were warm. Lol, I was abit shocked as to the 2 large burritos on my plate, I was only able to have one. The plate was hot, food was hot, some too hot that’s totally ok with me. I’d rather have the food piping vs cool. I wanted to leave room for the fried ice cream, which was great by the way. Service was awesome, our waiter was highly tentative, the other waitress helped clear any empty plates w/o asking. I certainly like to see team work in play, in which these 2 have it dialed in. It’s been about 6 years since we were there, after today we will certainly need to visit them more regularly. Great food and drinks to match. A great place to visit on the Cheshire Prospect line for quality and tasteful Mexican dishes. Cheers.

Me and my bf decided to try this place after reading all the great reviews. We were very excited as we love Mexican food. That being said I have no idea how this place is popular because everything about it was bad. We had to wait like 10 min or more to be seated even though I could obviously see seating was available. We were seated and the gentleman waiter( don’t know his name) who took care of us wasn’t warm and sounded very monotone. He also rushed me getting a drink because he didn’t want to wait for me to browse the menu even though we had just been seated. We also ordered waters that he never brought (thank god for the girl walking by that brought them to us). Of course after waiting for another 10 min we get our food(appetizer and entrees included). We ordered the mini chimichangas and they came out cold and extremely greasy which is not what I’m used to. Our food was cold because you could obviously tell he waited for all our orders to be ready to avoid having to do his job. My bf got the birria tacos and they were so greasy and the consume was tasteless. On top of getting horrible service they still force you to tip as there is no option to edit it via the machine they use to charge customers out. All in all we were extremely disappointed to our experience to the point we promised ourselves to never return. Definitely not something you want from a new customer but, with all the effort done today I suspect they don’t care about providing quality service. We couldn’t even finish our food with how cold and greasy it looked and ,I would also like to add that we were rushed from our table. I hadn’t even finished my food when the bus girl started taking plates. Very confused about how people are so easily impressed with this place.

Service was just a little slow, but worth the wait. The pork tacos were excellent, the portions were a little bigger than normal but not much. It was pretty busy & a little loud but that just points to the fact that it is a very popular place & I believe with good reason. Even though it was very busy my party of 6 were seated quickly with little wait. The table they gave us was a little small for 6 people though. Definitely worth checking out if you like Mexican food.

Food was great. My husband and I ate and had drinks on the patio. Atmosphere was great. I gave Service 3 stars because a staff member came and cleared away food before we were done. She was so fast, I couldn’t say anything. I could have blurted, but felt I would sound like a was attacking her. Other then that it was a great night.

Discovered this gem on the way to Cheshire. On the way back we stopped and it was ABSOLUTELY the best Mexican I’ve had so far! I am vegan and often have to get very basic meals while dining out. This surpassed ! Veggie enchiladas was 10/10. My boyfriend had the street tacos and cleared the entire plate ! Serving sizes were huge ! The service is awesome and attentive and the atmosphere was very inviting and relaxing!

My wife and I came here for a car show/meet which was in the parking lot and we decided to go in and get some dinner. Service was slow (I know that can be staffing issues). I got a large house margarita which ended up being $18 for pretty much just ice and some margarita mix. Ordered the Santa Fe burrito which was very impressive when it came out but ended up being rather bland. Had just half and took the rest home in order to make it better with some additional spices and such. My wife got pork tacos which she ended up doing the same with.

Service was awful. We asked for another minute to look over the menu and our server who never gave his name(but found out it was Bruno) rolled his eyes and walked away. I got overruled to leave and go to another Mexican restaurant in southington. Food was good for a multi site Mexican restaurant, however I just can’t look over the service. This is the second time I’ve been here once last year and had the same issue with the service. Never coming back mainly because of the service. On a good note, we ate outside and the have a nice outdoor patio.
