We have replaced the former restaurant [buk-kyung2] and opened [Seoul Jangteo] in the same location.
We invited a head chef of The Westin Chosun Hotel(5 star) all the way from Seoul to Boston to improve our recipes for our Chinese cuisine inspired Korean noodles such as Jjajangmyun, Jjambbong and tangsooyuk dishes that almost all Koreans love.
One of our specialty and a must try menu is Pork Gukbap (translated as Broth-Rice). The rich broth from the pork bones is made from boiling for 12 hours and aged for another 12 hours before served into each quality bowls of Gukbap along with quality meat from different parts of the pork. Just try our Gukbap bowl and you might never have to search for the flavor we all have been missing from Korea.
Compact, bustling diner with classic Korean comfort food, plus soju, sake & beer. Based on 504 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price $$

This is a nice spot for delicious and authentic Korean dishes. The spicy stir-fry squid is great and their tangsuyuk is so good and you get to pour the sweet and sour sauce on it yourself.

My love for Korean food took me to this place and it did not disappoint! We got the scallion kimchi pancake, the stonepot bibimbap and the ganpung chicken. Quantities were great, the pancake and chicken were really good but the bibimbap needed more flavor. We also got ramen noodles on the side and those were bland as well. But overall, I think I liked the place and the food.

There was a variety of Korean food here at Seoul Jangteo, and all of them were savory and filling. My favorite was the Jajang noodles and the Soft tofu stew. Would recommend coming here with a group so you can share dishes and get the most of the menu!

JJambbong is the best! Tangsooyuk is second place. Others are just so-so.

We have eaten here a few times and each time are delighted with our meal. The pictures here depict one such meal when we selected Gganpung Chicken, Stir-fried Jambong rice and seafood scallion pancake. The food was cooked to perfection, flavorful and portions are huge as the pictures demonstrate. The place is usually packed, though we haven’t had to wait for a table… yet. We seemed to be lucky enough to get one of the few remaining tables each time we’ve gone. We found the waitstaff is extremely pleasant and accommodating. Each time we went we had a different server and they were all wonderful. The overall experience is 5 star. We highly recommend this place and expect to return ourselves, again and again.

Ordered some seafood scallion pancakes. It was served burnt. Never had a waiter or waitress serving us during the entirety of the meal. Will not recommend. This is the first and last time eating here.

Went there last night for the first time. Quick and efficient service! I was a little concerned when I was seated at a 2 top because of how small the table was but as soon as the food came out, the server put another table next to us to accommodate all the dishes! While most people had jjajang noodles (짜장면) and spicy seafood noodles (짬뽕) we ordered a more korean dish of boiled pork plate (수육), spicy pork bulgogi (제육볶음), and kimchi pancake (김치전) because my dining companion never tried korean-chinese food and I thought it would be easier for him to try authentic korean food first. Their kimchi pancake was perfectly crisp and boiled pork plate was perfectly balanced with the seasoned onion+green onion salad. Spicy pork bulgogi was not too spicy ( but the spice does build up) and was a perfect match for our overall meal. I would definitely visit again to try their korean-chinese food!

I ordered the soondubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) with vegetables only. While I’ve had this dish at many Korean restaurants across the country, this take was unique to me. It had zucchini squash and onions in it, but no mushrooms. Despite the differences from what I’m used to, it was still good. While the accompanying bowl of rice was small, I was satisfied at the end of the meal. It was also the perfect level of spiciness for me.
