More of a bar that happens to have food than a true restaurant. Which is fine, but was not the impression we got when we looked them up online. We went here for dinner on a Sunday and the photo is the full menu we were given, already nowhere close to what is posted online, and were told they were out of pork, sliced brisket, and potatoes. There’s a qr code on the tables to order that didn’t work for either of us. They didn’t even give us the limited menu until I went up to the bar to ask for one. The “kitchen” is about four guys at a card table outside, which they were closing down by about 5:30. The chips included with the sandwich were plain lays and Cheetos, no one offered any options otherwise. The brisket was acceptable but nothing noteworthy.

The food. It’s just amazing. Even the grilled cheese for my son was so good. Next thing, the cool factor of the place. A couple pool tables, indoor outdoor very open seating, next to the river, and even axe throwing. We just stopped in there to grab some lunch before going to Big Rocks to mess around.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and food (classics Texas BBQ). Great venue to grab a cold beer, BBQ and live music. Price very reasonable in comparison to other BBQ places. Had the BBQ sampler and quesadillas, chips and Queso. Plenty of food for a few people.

We can from out to town and I looked up this place and decided to give it a try. This place has a great,wonderful friendly people, everyone was so nice and so kind. We sat by the river and had great views, the whole entire place was just so uniquely done and has a great story and history behind it. Wonderful area for sitting outside. Our waitress Brittni was super sweet and so knowledgeable and had such a sweet smile. The bbq was amazing!!

Had the loaded brisket nachos, and while they were good, they could have used more brisket. I understand that’s the most expensive topping, but there was maybe, maybe a 1/4 lb?? That’s the only reason for 4 stars. Took home the Meat Sampler…really good bbq. Will be back.

Sexton Feed Mill is a must-visit restaurant in Glen Rose! The BBQ is great, the beer is cold, and the live entertainment is always on point. The converted open-air feed mill creates a unique and fun atmosphere with a full bar. The outdoor seating area overlooking the Paluxy River is a great place to enjoy a meal and drinks. With axe throwing and pool tables available, there’s something for everyone at Sexton Feed Mill. Don’t miss out on this fantastic spot. Highly recommended!
