We had breakfast here and our waitress Virginia was very accommodating and friendly. Very good service, delicious French toast, and roasted potatoes with sunny side eggs. Very cozy restaurant that’s located near the beach 🙂

The food was ok to good but the service was horrible. 7:00 reservation and seating for 6 people but we were not served until 9:00 when most the clients who arrived later were served and had finished eating. No apologies, no offer for any complimentary drinks etc.

Our second time visiting for dinner this season and we are really enjoying the new menu. As is usual for Shade, everything is very fresh and in season. We really enjoyed the salads and chicken Bao bun appetizers. Two in our party had the lobster roll and it was amazing. Really delicious and balanced flavors. Perfectly grilled brioche bun with lobster lightly dressed in aioli, lemon, and tarragon (i.e. not drowned in mayo so you can’t taste the lobster). A great dish.

Shade Shack delivery to Higgins Beach Inn is awesome! It’s so easy and the food is delivered right to the beach, so you don’t even have to get your shoes on or leave the beach. Delivery is prompt and the food is delicious!
