We were seated immediately, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great! The beignets were hot and delicious, the french toast had fresh berries and were very large and fluffy, and the eggs benedict were a favorite–we opted for the crab cakes instead of ham and I would recommend it! All in all, one of the best breakfasts I have had in a while!

Our dinner reservation for about 25 people during UVA’s graduation weekend was mostly well managed. A few people had to sit outside of the reserved room due to the occupancy limit, but our experience was overall great. The meals were nicely presented, and I enjoyed my crab cakes entree which was served with rice, coleslaw and some vegetables.

I went here with my best friend for restaurant week and the food was amazing! I had the fried oysters (she had the crabcake), we both had the green and grains salad, and the steak fritas…soo…darn…good!! Looking forward to going back!

We had a real pleasure eat at Shadwells Restaurant. The rolls that were brought out were very light and fluffy and scrumptious. I had the catch of the day (Fried Catfish, with Rice Pilaf, and Corn) that was very tasty. The Pecan Crusted Chicken was ok according to my middle child who has a highly sophisticated palate. She said the the potatoes and broccoli were on point.The Steak Salad was very good. The Staff was very friendly and service was quick. We came in with a hour before closing because of traveling and did not feel rushed. I would recommend eating here.

I got the burger and I asked for no pink and I got all pink meat. Informed the server and she said ok. No questions just ok and took the plate away. I only ate about 1/4 of the burger. Since I was hungry I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. They sure looked amazing but they were only ok. The peppers and onions had a weird taste to them. I would say the best part of the entire night was the dessert. Highly recommend if every thing your ordered was bad this will make up for it. Don’t know if I will ever go back due to the food and price.

2017-10-08 food, service and location were excellent! Located near the Hilton Garden Inn, exit 124 on Interstate 64 West. Scheduled reservation 2 days ago via OpenTable website, today while driving to Charlottesville, we called and updated reservation to an earlier time, we arrived and was seated immediately at a circular booth (our preference). Wow, they have so many circular booths and regular booths on the side where the bar is located, they also have multiple TVs on that side of the restaurant. We asked the waitress for an appetizer (spinach cheese dip with crackers) and returned later to take our entree order. The appetizer was so good! The blackened tuna sandwich, Caesar salad, bread and butter, garden salad and shrimp entree were all good. The lady helping the server to bring food the table was really nice and helpful too.

We drove down from new york for a family party at Shadwells. The servers were excellent and the food was delicious. The room we were in was too small otherwise it would have been 5 stars. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
