Great experience with amazing food and service. The brisket was some of best I have had very lean not dried out. The salad with salmon was awesome and a huge portion. The pulled chicken thighs were great all accompanied by some of the best sauces ever. Can’t wait to be back!

Have you ever read “Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe”? If so, then this place will far exceed your wildest dreams when it comes to BBQ. The only thing missing are the fried green tomatoes! We tried the chicken, pork, brisket, ribs and burnt ends with sides of Mac and Cheese and cornbread. Everything, and I mean everything rated a ten out of ten. The train passing by was the icing on the cake. Cash only and go early to avoid missing anything on this menu.

Cash only place, but there is an ATM inside. Wonderful service and amazing food! Highly recommend the chips and dip, pork belly, and poutine. Poutine ended up being enough for at least 4 different meals lol. Very welcoming vibe. Hubby is very intent on returning

We stumbled upon this restaurant couple of years ago. Loved everything about it. Food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Unfortunately for last year or so we haven’t been back and finally had a chance last weekend. What a disappointment it was. They went from perfect 5 stars to down to 2 and that’s being generous. Complete visit was a disappointment. They change their menu before you were able to get a sandwiches, dinners, etc which included the bun and two sides (if I remember correctly). NOW…you have to pay for the bun ($2) for the meat (ranges from $8-30) and sides and the sides that you want. What was disappointing was the food quality and taste. Either they lost their cook or lost the recipe book…. Meats were too dry, shady corn use to be great now it’s not edible (taste like somebody put too much vinegar, coleslaw nothing special, brisket to fatty and tasteless, meatloaf tasted like it came out of a frozen section and pork was too dry).

Emily and Amanda were amazing. As the restaurant got busier, they stepped up and met the challenge. They handled our group of 13, all other tables and even a few malcontents with speed, ease and grace. Signed, Number 6.

I had been waiting to try this place out. I am obsessed with pulled pork, so that was my first meal as pictured. Service was good, a bit busy, but good.

Brisket was juice and full of flavor, coleslaw was not overwhelmed with Mayo, sausage was rich and spicy, and the drinks were honest, and the waitress was just great.

We visited over 4th of July weekend. I absolutely love the shady corn!! Nothing disappointed. We ordered the meat by the 1/2lb because who doesn’t like some leftovers for snacks!
