This was the first time in a couple years, my wife and I had visited. The food was good and the portions were large. I had the fried pickles as an appetizer and a “Champion” grinder, both were excellent. I brought half my grinder home for lunch tomorrow. My wife had the fried portobello mushroom appetizer with the garlic chicken wrap, and fries on the side. She was happy and full when we left. It was a pleasant experience and will return. Some might consider the prices a little expensive, but I didn’t find them out of the ordinary. I would and will suggest friends to give The Shady Nook a try.

1st time we have been here and it was a great experience! Good service good food and awesome view of the lake from inside or out. We got the orange chicken with rice and green beans and a fish dinner.

Great food and wonderful atmosphere. The view of the lake is superb and the inside is clean and warm, if a bit loud when the place is full. Full bar with several craft beers on tap.

We ordered a half club grinder, fried green beans, a half prime grinder, waffle fries, and drinks. Everything was delicious. (It was too much food). They had cider boys pineapple hula on tap. I was excited to see that! They also had live music tonight. I miss live music, so that was icing on the cake!

Great food, great service and such a welcoming atmosphere! The wooden boat bar is such a unique touch and all of the staff makes you feel like “a local” no matter where you’ve come from. The pizza was perfect, and the wings were huge! Dinner specials have been great over the years too!

Pleasant interior – outside patio was shut since it was cool. Our server Trevor was delightful. My steak was delicious though the onion rings would be improved if fried in fresher oil.
