First time here today! Amazing place, the food was very tasteful, we ordered a Shrimp pineapple fried rice, a Crunchy Peanut Salad and 2 iced teas. Loves the fact that it was unsweetened iced tea, but my bf could’ve used the warning, but the food was OMG! Best salad I’ve had in a while and he loved his bowl.

Leaving two stars because I had an issue with my order and they never got back to me. And food was over pricey for the cost. I am all about small businesses and supporting local. HOWEVER, I was charged $17 almost $20 after tax on a bowl of rice with ten pieces of tiny shrimp. It was literally rice, scallion, and egg. The taste was not good I’d rate it 3/10. The smoothie I ordered tasted almost run down. They list their ingredients but besides mango I could not really taste anything else. Once again for the price range they need to kick up with taste. You can steam some kale and put dressing on it and label it as healthy but that doesn’t mean it was prepped correctly for the customer to enjoy the taste. Spent $30 for a lunch I could not enjoy nor finish.

Amazing Hawaiian place to have a healthy dinner! All staff is so friendly! All space is super clean, great atmosphere and good chill music. And design is pretty good!!! Everything reminds me Hawaii ♥️♥️ they have outlets next to the every table and 2 restrooms. I really like this place and recommend!

Incredibly warm space with equally as incredible food! We have been visiting both Shaka locations for years now, and will continue to for years to come! In our town places come and go, and luckily for us this business is here to stay which is a testament to how great they are. We love all of the menu, but if we had to pick 3, we’d say our favorite menu items are the pork tacos, avocado egg rolls, and chicken poke bowls. The seasonal specials are great as well. We recently had an event in their Washington Street space, and absolutely recommend their catering + space to anyone looking for a special event and memorable time!

I’ve been here a few times. The last time I was kind of confused as to why my bill was a bit pricey. Their description is a bit misleading. The description says choice of protein for a price and when you go to pay there’s an up charge on the protein. I recently inquired about it with 2 employees and both confirmed that any protein would be additional. Maybe next time, you might want to advertise the price correctly. Overall very fresh ingredients just a bit disappointed with the miscommunication on their menus.

I ordered 2 -3 Kona Cod Beer Battered Tacos and I am disappointed. The tacos were made with a 1 single corn tortilla that was cold. The inside had the cod and tasteless; soaked in cabbage juice . All I could taste was the cabbage. I also ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Appetizer and I was also disappointed. The cauliflower was not properly coated and soaked in a bed of cabbage and the “Buffalo” sauce. It tasted more like vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. You could smell the vinegar and it was overpowering. Subtotal:$58.00

For the slight premium this place has decent healthy food options. I usually order build your own bowl with seafood protein, rice, and an abundant amount of toppings. Resulting meals is pretty satisfying. Overall I think food here is fairly average and more expensive for Hoboken.

Every time I come here the experience is just great. I’ve been coming to Shaka bowl ever since it opened, I used to come here every single weekend with my wife even if it was freezing outside. Didn’t matter to us because we loved the food, but also the great service your employees continue to have. Even though this past year we haven’t gone much because we moved to Bergen county and it is a bit of a drive, the times that we have drove back just for a bowl the service is still great and the bowl is still phenomenal. I hope you guys can open a location in Bergen County soon, me and my wife will most def be a huge supporter.
