5th time in this museum, 1st time at Shake Shack,- i believe this used to be McDonalds not really sure. Lines can be long at certain hours, but its not too bad. Food served faster than expected, staff surely tries their best to keep up. Food was hot taste great, no complaints at all from my entourage- kids to adults. Plenty of tables, great view from the wide windows. Could be pricey but its worth it.

Despite the terrible reviews, we had a fantastic experience here. Food ready in eight minutes and it was hot and delicious. Service was friendly. Lemonade had just right amount of sweetness. Best time to beat the rush is around 11-11:45.

Visited 7/14/2023. Service was smooth and efficient for our group of 40. Food was delicious. Manage was responsive to some last minute changes.

WARNING! EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE COMING TO THE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM!!! I recently visited Shake Shack at the Air and Space Museum and was disappointed with the service. Despite the large number of customers in the middle of the day, there was only one person attending the register, leading to a long wait time. It seems like Shake Shack has scaled and diluted their brand, and the quality of service has suffered as a result. While the food was good, the lack of reasonable service left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that Shake Shack can improve their staffing and offer better service in the future.

Great place. Burgers tasted great, and their service is excellent. Ignore most of the one-star reviews. Almost all mentioned long wait time, but of course there is going to be because it’s the only resteraunt near or in the museum and it’s gets busy during lunch. We went in during the late afternoon, and they were quick to serve. It cost $106.65 for 5 double stack burgers, 4 French fries, and 5 large drinks

I think the low ratings are likely from people who didn’t visit the museum previously. This is a major upgrade for food options at Udvar-Hazy.

The only disappointment in an otherwise wonderful day at the Udvar-Hazy Center. Please do yourself a favour and take some sandwiches for the numerous benches outside the museum (which you’d have to eat before going in, or eat elsewhere before visiting). The site salvages a second star on food because it was, at least, tasty, but more than 20 minutes waiting for it (and it was by no means at its busiest) provided ample time for some sort of a seating cop to evict our young disabled son from a “reserved area” that the group holding said reservation was using only between 2/3 and 3/4 of (incidentally, while she ignored another group sat there and unconnected with the reservation-holding group – anyone would think deliberately targeting the person with a disability). That’s perhaps not the greatest accolade for her management if she’s allowed to behave like that, and rudely as well, when people were simply trying to innocently avoid some of the crowding and noise for the well-being of their child (noting it’s also prohibited to take the food out of the venue) not to mention her also using expletives in the seating area, which as you might imagine for the venue contained a sizeable child population. Once we had our food, the same employee then evicted from the same area (which incidentally wasn’t marked as reserved with any signage) another group with a child who may have been suffering from severe alopecia areata or could well have been recovering from chemo – not a classy move. Not at all.

Avoid. Bring your own food. Lousy super pricey food options with half hour wait to order on a weekday morning. “Quick service” kiosk had few options and kept flashing Windows 98 error messages.

Heed the warnings, eat before you get to the museum or pack a protein bar to eat outside. The only other options are a cooler full of Sabra chip/dip and some juices and sodas, and then movie theater types of snacks at the windows that sells the IMAX tickets. After waiting over a half hour to order at about 2:30pm, we waited about 15 minutes for our food. Not the worst from order to pickup, admittedly. However, since the menu is pretty limited I just don’t understand why they can’t be banging out orders any faster.
