We came because my son wanted a burger for his birthday, so of course he got a burger. The burgers and fries were good, but I must warn you that the cheese is thick. Overall it was a good experience. They weren’t too busy and the restaurant was clean. Our food was up quickly.

This is a follow up review. A few months ago I went to the Shake Shack on Piedmont and the experience was not so great. I received an email from the company giving me a discount to make up for the errors. I decided to go the a Old 4th ward location so I could walk off my meal ; ) The discount indicated I had to use the app to redeem. The app… in a nut shell does not work. I tried for almost a half an hour to get it to select the location. Note I was walking the belt line from Whole foods on Ponce so I had a long walk. I was hoping once I got closer to the location the app would work but it did not. While I was inside of the store an associate tried to access the app as well but he had no success. He introduced me to the manager, I showed him I had a promo code but it could only be used on the app. I’m glad he honored the promo without me ordering thru the app . This time my order was correct but I would say the company needs to make the investment to fix the app.

By the time we paid $7 for parking (4 burgers, fries, shakes, root beer float) we spent about $100. No order takers, only kiosks. The energy level that I was accustomed to from a Shake Shack…GONE. 3-4 people in the kitchen area didn’t greet us, they talked amongst themselves. Although, they did provide a parting remark – have a great 4th of July (that’s the only reason I gave Service a star). While we all liked our burgers, the fries were not hot enough, they may have been a bit old. Sorry to say, we will not return.

I enjoyed these hot crinkle cut fries and my husband enjoyed this juicy Shack burger. All in all the food was great and this location was on the betline, we sat outside on the porch people watching. Great weather and location.
