If amazing was only enough to say! My husband and I love BBQ food; our favorite place (used to be in Stowe), closed 2 years ago. We have now found our favorite BBQ place, and it just so happens to be at the best Hard Cider establishment in Vermont! The atmosphere was divine. There is different areas including outside with live music, the bar, and a few dining areas. The cider on tap is a must, there is nothing that compares to the crispness of the cider; pairs well with fall coming! The food is hands down amazing; fresh, hot, and you can tell by taste that a lot of hard work has gone into it. The BBQ sauces, so taste worthy (my husband wants to buy it). The service is friendly, helpful, and quick! We will be regulars, thank you for such an amazing spot for BBQ and good ole Vermont hard cider!

If you’re into hard cider, this is your place. I tried their smoked wings and their BBQ sauce and it was good. Wanted to order pulled pork and brisket, but ended up not ordering more bc the hard cider is just not for me. Service was good, courteous, place is clean, ample parking.

Recently, our family was finally able to make it over to shakedown Street barbecue. The smell of the smoked meats, the sound of quality tunes, and the groovy feel of the place immediately gives you good vibes. We were seated in a cozy corner of the restaurant where we had a front row seat to the live music. The service was excellent, and our drinks came out right away. When the food arrived, our mouths were nearly watering. The presentation was spot on. My husband had the pulled pork with the shake down barbecue sauce and he was in heaven. He practically bleeds barbecue sauce so to see him loving it, I knew it had to be good. I had the tacos and I was head over heels over the unique flavor of their sauce and the thoughtfulness that went into the ingredients. The kids loved the food as well as the chalkboard and games in the back. Very family friendly. Can’t wait to go here again, which will definitely be soon. Thanks for a great meal and a great time , Shakedown Street.

This is the best gluten free eats in Stowe! The menu has SO many GF options and the servers were very knowledgeable. The ribs and fries were SO good as were the wings. And then the cider was amazing, but we already knew that! We had a large group and we sat out back in the garden and our food came right out. Then it started to rain and they had plenty of space inside to accommodate us. I highly recommend this place if you have celiac, have a big crew and it’s super kid friendly!

Great place to have an event! We held a large party at Shakedown BBQ & Grill. It was a lovely day and they opened up the large backyard to us. The food and service was amazing- such friendly staff! We even had our own bar service!

My favorite place to visit whenever I’m in Stowe. Their cider is amazing and the perfect balance of flavors. I didn’t know what to expect when they added the food, but it is delicious! I recommend the wings. The staff is super friendly and always smiling. I have to come back and check out the music.

Love this place! Best atmosphere in Stowe. I often hit it up apres ski or for live music on Saturday night. Best cider in the northeast hands down but got beer too. Food is great…often come with my kids too and kid friendly.

Stowe Cider has been an amazing place for live music and the best hard cider for many years. Now they have food, and not just any food – tacos, ribs, salads, comfort food, and more. To top it off, just about the nicest staff you will find anywhere.

Absolutely not worth going to. Went with a party of 5 adults on a weeknight. 45 minutes after taking our order the server informed us that 4 of the orders had to change because they ran out of pork. About 35 minutes after that she came back to let us know that 2 of them had to change again because they ran out of chicken. By the time we got our food, we had been here over 2 hours, many orders were cold, the portion size for the 2 meals that had to change twice were incredibly small, and 4 of the 5 orders came out with the wrong entree or sides. Since they were closing in 10 minutes, we couldn’t even have the orders fixed/remade. They did comp us the meal based on how awful they managed everything, but the quality of the meals we received was so poor that none of us would return for food. Drinks were okay though.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Amazing service, delicious food, and family friendly. I went with friends and 3 toddlers and they had tons of space to run around. Great music, and of course the cider is top notch!
