I had been to this place back in 2011 (the last time I was in the area). I chose this location as it was the closest to me (21 miles) but I wanted something a little different. Did not disappoint in terms of side dishes. The area is a lot more built up since I was last here and much busier but worth the drive. The Texas toast and peach cobbler is were outstanding; perfectly toasted bread with just the right amount of butter. The cobbler was perfection, not too sweet and not tart; another perfect Southern treat. Haven’t tried the smoked wings yet but they smell awesome. The sweet tea is that good old fashioned down home Southern tea that makes you go into a diabetic coma.

I got the loaded buffalo chicken fries. When they first came out it was the wrong order so it went back. 20 minutes or so later the new one came out, which tasted fine. About an hour later I started to feel sick. About 10 hours after eating I was throwing up and unable to keep water down. I called the location and spoke to the manager who I told I got food poisoning from the meal I consumed at his location, and was informed by him, “well thankfully it wasn’t food poisoning because that usually happens within the first 24 hours, it was probably something else you had eaten” (which my family and I all ate the same things prior to driving the 30 minutes to get to that restaurant) and comped me 2 free meals for me to go back (which I told him my family might go back, but me personally refuse to go back). well it (the food poisoning, e.t vomiting, diarrhea, and unable to keep water down) happened within 10 hours of my visit, and I missed work because of all the vomiting and diarrhea I was experiencing. I work at a hospital in the ICU division. I didn’t argue with the manager. To be honest, I just wanted to try to relax. My body was sore and I was exhausted. I am an understanding person and I get that the cook was new. I wouldn’t be opposed to going back, but I feel the matter wasn’t handled properly. “She got food poisoning from our location, let’s just deny it and throw some free food her way and call it a day.” That’s how I feel about how the matter was handled. We have not gone back as of yet. My daughter’s loves Shane’s and will try to go back soon I’m sure, but as for me, I’d rather give my business to a different restaurant.

Tried this place at 3:30pm today (a Thursday). It was a bit slow, but the food was shockingly fresh and tasty. We are not typically fast food eaters, but the quality of the food was really good. Everything was hot and the portions were more than enough. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Again, we don’t eat fast food often, but I didn’t walk away disappointed I spent $25 on chicken, fries and mac and cheese.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. The “tenders” were more like a chicken breast seasoned and cut in half; very tasty. The side were also pretty good. I was full and had leftovers.

We are from vegas so we stopped somewhere that we don’t have at home. Unfortunately this place is not the business. As my son says “it’s a miss”. The bbq sauce is not what I’m used to, maybe it’s a certain kind of bbq sauce that people love but I hated it. The ribs are about $2-3 a rib, which makes it too expensive to even try ($18 for half rack/6). We got brisket, bbq loaded fries w/ pork, and chicken tender kids meals. My kids wouldn’t even eat the chicken because it was tasteless and not a good crunchy, almost too hard in spots. The brisket was ok, a little dry but I didn’t like the bbq sauce to fix it. The loaded fries has the bbq sauce so I didn’t care for it…. It’s just not a place I would frequent.

The location is in a good spot for easy access right off Happy Valley. The place is always inviting and staff are friendly. A friend and I had grabbed some food here when we caught up with one another. The food we ordered was good.

Our first time, 2 weeks ago, was incredible. Everything was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. Yesterday, 07-13 about 7:45pm, it wasn’t. Ribs were dry, fried chicken strips were almost over done, dry and the shredded chicken was very dry. Beans and mac n cheese were good but not hot, luke warm. Toast was great tho. 5 and 3 makes it 4 stars. I like their BBQ sauces.
