The lady is friendly but impatient sometimes only because she needs some help. I think the cook does too, especially with the noodle dishes. I eat here often to avoid going all the way to San Rafael. The sweet & spicy chicken wings are excellent, the onion pancakes great, the crab Rangoon are very good, the chicken or beef chow fun are tasty when I think the chef is not overwhelmed with orders. They have fell flat on flavor twice. I also have had better calamari from here too. Overall, the food is good to me, the prices are reasonable and the service is okay. Shang Hai Kitchen is worth a try and I’m still going to be a customer. I appreciate their great food, service when very busy, their location & reasonable prices.

Good stuff. Authentic Shanghai as good as you can get in Marin. Will come again. Very nice folks. And great prices! Many Door Dash delivery drivers coming in for pickups. Must be a popular place for take out.

Ordered delivery, and received the wrong food. I tried calling the restaurant to see if the delivery driver accidentally gave me the wrong person’s food. The restaurant responded by saying that “they’re too busy” and hung up. I tried calling again to which she replied “I don’t know your order” and hung up again.

My work and I are obsessed with this restaurant. We’ve ordered from a couple of restaurants across Sausalito and Marin, but Shang Hai Kitchen seems to be one of the few reliable ones for us. The Shanghai soup dumplings are the perfect finish to a 3 hours of back to back meetings. Get them while they’re hot!!

The first time I ordered delivery they got it wrong. I ordered an eggplant dish and a tofu dish. I received no tofu but 2 eggplant dishes. But the food was great. The second time I carried out we ordered 2 eggplant dishes and I emphasized no hot peppers. I said over And over again no hot peppers. When we received it it was hot as he’ll. They did make it better by then sending 2 tofu plates. But the tofu was horrible but the veggies were wonderful.
