We only ever order takeout and have a good consistent meal every time. Chicken is crispy, vegetables are cooked perfectly, and they’re very generous with rice portions. It’s our go to Chinese spot in greenpoint.

Lately this has been my favorite takeout for the best hot and sour soup, Singapore mai fun, and crispy tofu with broccoli. I love ordering the same items regularly, and they’re consistently fresh and delicious. I love that this is also a caring family business and a staple in our neighborhood.

Love Shanghai Lee. Their hot and sour soup is the best in the city. And actually hot and sour. Great noodle dishes (the Singapore mei fun especially!) and always consistent. Love their boneless ribs app and their chicken curry is unique from most other Chinese spots. Can’t go wrong with Shanghai Lee. Lovely family business with great food!

I used to order from here when I worked in Greenpoint, I hadn’t been in a couple years and they still have the best Wonton Soup! Love that it’s a family establishment, everyone is really nice.

This is really the only legit Chinese restaurant in Greenpoint. I’ll refrain from using names but we all kno the names of the other Chinese spots in this neighborhood n we know they not very good. If ur picky about ur Chinese food n u had bad experiences with the local places, try these guys, their food really is great! It’s a little more money than the other local places but this is a great example of “u get what u pay for.” With food that’s frightening. Pretty much everything I’ve tried has been good. The beef with broccoli is excellent n they even have hard to find foods that many Chinese restaurants don’t have. Cha Shao bao (spelling unknown) aka roast pork buns is one thing u don’t find everywhere but they have them. Also sesame noodles too. Also the people r very nice n friendly. There’s a beautiful woman that works the front n she has the greatest memory in the world n remembers tiny details from months earlier lol no kidding!!! She’s great.

This is my favorite for affordable American style Chinese food in the neighborhood. The food tastes more clean and fresh than the other spots, better quality. It’s a family owned business and sometimes they are understaffed, but I have never had any real issues or didn’t mind being a little patient for them. The lunch and dinner chef are different… I’ve actually had some exceptionally good lunches, the chef is just on another level at lunch. Honestly never had a bad food experience at Shanghai Lee and I’ve been ordering or dining in there for 15 years. I’m giving them 5 because their score deserves a boost and it’s a very reliable spot for me.

Cold noodles are excellent, fried rice, egg rolls, spring rolls all good and fresh. Is more a place to pick up or deliver than to stay and dine. Perfect for Sunday afternoon while watching a movie at home.

We were struggling to find a local GP Chinese spot based on reviews, and this was terrific! Eggplant, lo mein (SO good!), and sesame chicken (huge pieces almost like fried chicken rather than small to medium) were great. Spring rolls were good.

Delicious food great orange chicken and dumplings. Wish the place was bigger to eat in but other then that no complaints. Family owned business that’s been on Franklin for years. Highly recommended
