My mom likes going there. The flavor is good. This is a Shanghainese restaurant, which means the food will be slightly sweet because that’s just Shanghainese flavor. I personally don’t much care for that.

If you’re looking for authentic Shanghainese food, this is the place to go. The buns were soft, poofy, and had a flavorful meat center – a must get. While visiting LA, we knew we had to visit a Shanghai see restaurant as my family is Shanghai see and we haven’t been able to go back and visit in years. In general, the cuisine is pretty authentically Shanghainese and in general it was quite delicious though a few dishes we ordered were just okay. The star of the show is the rice cakes with crab – make sure you order this dish! We also loved being able to converse with the waitstaff in Shanghainese, and everyone was very helpful and kind. We’ll definitely visit again next time we’re in LA!

I was invited to a birthday party here and it was wonderful. This is authentic Chinese cooking (no Panda Express here). The atmosphere is bright and cheery and the wait staff is attentive and accommodating. Since I didn’t pay for the food, I’m not sure about the prices but the place was very busy.
