If you like Shanghai style dim sum and snacks, this is one of the best restaurants around Queens for those. You don’t need to travel to China for the closely authentic food. We loved the tiaotou cake, soup dumplings (original flavor is the best), crab meat soup dumplings, three-yellow sanhuang Chicken, Peking Duck, fried Bao (shengjian Bao), and scallion pancake. The food here is one-notch down from the You Garden in Flushing (40th St near Main St.) Service is pretty good as the 40th location. But easier parking and more spacious and newer cleaner dining area at Bell Blvd made up for the downsides. They only take cash, Venmo or Zelle.

For some great Shanghainese food in Bayside, this is the place. I prefer this location to the Flushing location. This staff is very friendly and not rushing you on the way out. Seating is reasonable, but I’d say going with 2-8 ppl max. To try the most dishes, go with 4-8 ppl family style.

The atmosphere of this location is much better than the one in Flushing. This location also offers a free order of steamed pork bun per table and is quite tasty. The Salty Tofu Pudding bowl is only lukewarm which is disappointing. All other dishes are tasty but on the greasy side.

The food quality is excellent and stable. My personal favorites are fried bean gluten, port & vegetable wonton, and Peking duck.

New fave spot for dim sum dinner! So friggin good! Staff is super efficient and nice, the host is hilarious. The house made hot chili oil sauce they have at the table is BANGIN!! Wish they sold it by the jar, I would definitely buy it!

We were really excited to come here and have some Shanghainese brunch. the food was all so bland and meh. even the free peking duck buns had soggy skin. maybe it was an off day, but it was not a great start to our day.

if you’re hungry and don’t want to wait. after you order the food comes out asap.. the quickness of the food coming out, you’re unable to finish what’s on the table before your other dishes comes out.!

We go there very often. Overall, the food and service are acceptable, and it is certainly better than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. I would give this place 3.7/5 stars. The steamed buns are always good to have. Most of the dishes are very good. Service is fast, and staff are nice too. Will go back again.

This was an enormously pleasant surprise while I was working on a project in New York! I was just looking for a spot while walking on Bell Blvd, and You Garden caught my eye. The dining room was nice and clean, and the staff was very welcoming. The menu is extensive, and is filled with dishes I had not tried, or in some cases, even heard of, but the descriptions were excellent and pictures accompanied most. The soup dumplings are just fantastic, and I probably could have made a meal of them, but chose to order 2 entrees because I couldn’t decide. Everything was so delicious I ate there 3 more times that week, and made it a ‘go to’ during all of my return trips. I can’t say enough about the experience, it is truly a hidden gem!
