We went on a Sunday evening and they were having their buffet style/all you can eat night. Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was also extremely kind and helpful with any questions or concerns we had. I absolutely recommend this restaurant, they were spectacular!

I met Sharma through my work and I ended up assisting him with his needs there. He was so thankful that he asked me to come into his restaurant for a complimentary meal, even going far enough to offer to bring food to my work if I could not make it in. When I arrived at his establishment he greeted me warmly and encouraged me to order anything I like. The food was amazing, and the service was very attentive. Even though the food was free, I gave them a large tip that I had to very politely demand they accept. I can not say enough about the food and the kind people that work there. Lafayette is blessed to have them and I plan to return many times in the future.

Wasn’t expecting such good and authentic Indian food in a small college town, but this place surprised me! The portion size of entrées is big enough for two people. Rotis and naans have butter, so vegans may want to specify their preference. The restaurant was very busy even on a Tuesday evening. There was only one server who did a great job at managing the crowd and giving great service. They call their food ‘medium spicy’ but it’s actually mild for an Indian palate (and my spice tolerance is lower than an average Indian’s). Order a spice level higher if you want something really masaledaar and chatpata.

So happy buffet service is back on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 4 pm. If someone is new to the cuisine the owners are graciously willing to explain the dishes. It is well worth the visit every time. Thank you. NAMASCAR

Sharma’s is the best Indian restaurant in the area. If you’re new to Indian or nervous about trying something new, the buffet style is the way to go. You’ll certainly find something you like. They have a huge selection of different things to try and everything is crazy flavorful and perfectly done. If you order items (not from the buffet), you can get them pretty spicy, too. The owner and his wife are super nice folks and seem like they love what they do.

The owners are amazing. The chef was on point, I had the lamb tandoori but was able to sample my friends dishes. Everything tasted heavenly. I haven’t been here in a few years and everything was like I remembered it but somehow so much better! You gotta try the naan!!

I chose to celebrate my 50th birthday at Sharma’s Kitchen, and I was not disappointed! The servers were super friendly, and the owner noticed it was my birthday and tried to get a cake from the Mana Ines bakery across the street in my honor! Turns out the Ines cakes were too big, so the chef made me a special Indian dessert instead. When we went to pay for my meal, the owner said it was complimentary in honor of my birthday! We were so impressed with the service, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’m sad they don’t do the buffet anymore, but it was definitely the best choice for my birthday!

I don’t know why they lady gets a bad rep. She is genuinely kind and friendly. The food taste is exceptional, I would say it is equally good as the food from top restaurants back in India. The server lady was a sweet heart as well. Additionally, the meats are zabiha permissible. No pork and alcohol at this restaurant.
