Do not come here hungry. One will leave hungry. Gourmet bbq. Small portions were delicious. Service was a tad slow for there being empty tables. Told server it was our first time. She made a recommendation for main course but not for dessert. Make sure that you bring your own bbq sauce, butter, and honey. As they skimp or dont provide. See pictures.

Been coming here for many years. The staff are warm and attentive. The food is absolutely fantastic! Excellent prime rib and other smoked meats. Tasty burgers and other entrees that will please the most sophisticated palette. They are worth the visit.

My husband and I have lived in washougal for 4 months now, and the restaurant food experience on date night has been tragically mediocre at best, until last night when we ate at Shelby’s. The entire experience was excellent. We were greeted with a smile and the most friendly waitress I’ve ever met. Sorry, her name escapes me. She was attentive and came by our table several throughout the meal to check on us. The menu options weren’t so overwhelming that we couldn’t decide on what to eat, as many restaurants menus are. The meal was mouth watering. This place was truly a diamond in the rough. We will definitely be repeat customers.

I wouldn’t call this a white table cloth experience in fact it the restaurant itself is more of a hole in the wall. The food however is quite the opposite. Everything tasted amazing. The burgers are thoughtfully crafted. The Cobb salad was the best salad I have ever had in a restaurant. The kale apple slaw is amazing. They have a very nice wine list. Their beer section could be better but they definitely have a couple descent beers on tap. Our server was absolutely lovely and we will definitely go back.

My husband and I took our teenage daughter and son here for dinner and it was amazing! Really good barbecue. The ribs I had were perfect, our son’s brisket was awesome, my husband had the stew which had the most amazing broth, and our daughter opted for the ceasar salad. Athough she loved it, (being a semi vegetarian these days)she was jealous if my ribs! Sorry no pics.

OMG I can’t believe it took me this long to find this place. Service was fantastic as the nice lady refilled my ice tea at least six times. The food is quality at a fair price. Everything was wonderful and tasty. My highest rating in the shoug. Don’t let the outside keep you from coming in for one of the best meals. I WILL be back.,,, updated..must be new cook and food good just attention to detail gone. Cold burger bun and soggy fries.
