We are camping at the Shell Lake Municipal Campground and heard about this restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch. We walked over for breakfast. The place itself is very adorable and is decorated in blue and hello colors for the Shell Lake High School Lakers and lunchboxes. The menu items are plenty to choose from. We ended up getting chicken fried steak with sunny side up eggs and hash browns, the works omelette with sausage patties on the side. I had to also try corned beef hash. Everything was wonderful… chicken fried steak was one of the best ones I have had. Omelet (3 egg) was huge and delicious. Corned beef hash was very good. They do have a bar and serve drinks; we opted not to have any. The service was good, the prices were amazingly reasonable. It’s hard to get meals like this for the price. Our total was $32 and it was super worth it. Hope more people visit and dine here.

Enjoyed the Lunchbox Theme but our server wasn’t certain about details referring us to the greeting board instead. Child portion was teeny tiny our server agreed unusually small when we had to add food but didn’t offer a reduced price. The salad with dinner was basically burger toppings…. Rate it ok

Went in to have lunch on June 15th from out of town wanted to have lunch with my mother in law who lives in shell lake place look good 8 people in place 2 left when we sat down then it took us 5 minutes to get the waitress to come to our table when she finally arrived we looked at the menu made our decision then took her another 7 minutes maybe longer so we decided to leave a shame menu look good

The wait staff was crabby. The food was to go and they put no utensils, napkins, or condiments in the bag. It certainly wasn’t a great experience all the way around. We won’t be returning.

Had Brunch today that consisted of a Breakfast Sandwich ( English Muffin, Egg over hard w/cheese, crispy bacon, and accompanied by crispy hash browns.) and the Lunch Special, a Chicken Salad Croissant served with chips. Both meals were equally delicious and service from our waitress Dakota was Excellent!

Quite frankly I think their ears are clogged when they took my order. Did not listen to how I wanted my eggs prepared.. portions are small. Not enough waitresses either.. I personally like the old owners! I’ve been coming here for years and I have no complaints of the old owners. Don’t know why this place gets four stars
