We stopped in for a bite to eat before heading off to a nearby brewery that doesn’t serve food. We got the wings and some sweet potato fries. Everything we had including the celery was fresh and good. It was an adorable little spot with an adorable name! The waiter was very friendly and engaging.

Overall not a good value for the price. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the quality of food was decent. Ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad and Steak Salad. Steak was over cooked but still tender. Service was just ok. Portion size was small and made us wonder if the were running out of lettuce.

I have eaten at Shellabella’s on Main several times in the past and have always received good, friendly service and even better food. Today, however, it was a completely different story. I ordered a Sweet and Sour salad, without onions. The menu description said it had grilled chicken, red onions, cheddar, mozzarella and feta cheese. Mine came with still a few onions, the sweet and sour dressing was completely congealed and I was unable to pour it out. It was a solid mess that I tried to scoop out with my fork, unsuccessfully. When I tasted the feta, it had gone completely sour and nauseated me immediately. I was able to eat most of the chicken but left the rest. The waiter came over and saw I had a full bowl but never asked if everything was ok. I then told him to take it back and voiced my complaints. The chef came out then and asked me again about it and I told her my complaints as well. She said she would “check out” the feta cheese, but said the dressing comes like that and is always solid. I have never in my 68 years seen a salad dressing that was solid. She said she would take care of it.

Went there at approximately 2pm on a Saturday. There were 4 people there, one may have been the bartender and the other 3 were loud friends. No one greeted us or brought menus. We were ignored; we left. Will NOT recommend this place. Go back down the road to Heck’s or Josie’s.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant in quite some time. The first thing I noticed was the table we sat at was so loose that the drinks were sliding when our four year old leaned on it. We tried moving, checking three other tables and finally settling for a slightly less shaky one. Then it was time to order drinks. Our server was back in a minute to inform us that they were very low on milk and asked we order something else for the kids. The choices were soda, pink lemonade, or water. No Juice. My girlfriend and I both order the 8 oz sirloin, which was the first thing listed on the specials. Again, our server was back shortly that they had ran out of the 8 oz sirloins. So we tried the 12 oz sirloins. He was back in a few more minutes and informed us that they only had one left. My girlfriend ordered that I ordered the chicken parm. We had to ask for our silverware after the kid’s plates were brought out. Another five minutes or so and our food was brought out. The steak tasted like it had been there for quite some time, and was flavorless. Also, the bathrooms were not kept up with very well.

Reviews seem pretty hit or miss but to be honestly the whole place was really cozy, food was appropriately made. Dunno what these people are talking about with the son. Met the family, very friendly people, got lots of fun stories and seems like a tight ship.

Good food and really great coffee and the coffee is served in nice big white ceramic mugs. If a place makes an effort to serve a quality cup of coffee in a generous mug it usually pays attention to the quality of everything else they serve. I’m a trucker and have been in restaurants all over the country and i found this to be true. Shellabellas On Main will not disappoint. Support small businesses
