This place was off the hinges. We started with the pickled french fries, and you think “yeah sure, french fries, whatever” but they were indescribable and have ruined french fries for me anywhere else. Absolutely every dish was mind blowing. Drinks were a little lackluster against the food, would like to see a little more inspiration in the drink selection. We’ll definitely be back when in Flagstaff.

Ended up here by myself earlier this week and had a great dinner experience. The cilantro sorbet with goat cheese was my favorite. I sat at the bar and had a delicious meal of several sharing plates and a nice conversation with the kitchen crew. Was also great to see them at work as an awesome team!

I discovered Shift by accident — met the owner at her other business a few blocks away, a wine bar named Oeno. Nonetheless, I am glad I checked it out – food is great, vibe is your small farm-to-table restaurant popularized in the west coast. I stayed 4 days in Flagstaff, and this is the best restaurant I dined in while in town. Definitely worth a visit!

Thank you again for another amazing experience. I dont get to eat out to often so when i get the chance it lifts my spirits. I’m not sure I can put into words how much we enjoy coming in. It’s like food that heals my soul! The whole experience of watching the chefs prepare our meal to enjoying every single bite. Plus everything looks stunning! The flavors are so beautiful and succulent. The chef has a gift for what she does. It all brings me happiness, along with the wonderful atmosphere of the entire staff! Hands down, some of the best meal I’ve had in a long time. This will be one that I’ll talk about for a while. If you’re able to – sit at the kitchen counter. A lot of burgers were ordered but we focused on the sharables. Each plate has something unique that adds an extra level of texture. Crispy quinoa on the beets. The European Blue cheese on the fried Brussel sprouts. The sunflower seeds with the butternut squash. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. The service was fantastic as well! Save room for the dessert too!

Recommended to me by a local and I’m so glad it was! I decided on the Chef’s multi-course menu with the spirit pairing and wasn’t disappointed! Beautiful, thoughtfully put together food with amazing flavor combinations! Some dishes were classically good while others were an unexpected delight to the senses! Everyone working there were delightful as well! I felt well cared for, which was a lovely feeling. They definitely have a new fan! I will be returning!

I came in hungry and ordered the main pasta entree. The fettuccine. It was good but the portion was extremely small. I spent over $30 and left hungry. I had to go eat dinner twice. I grabbed a sandwich afterwards. Maybe up your portion size for main event menu items. You should leave full after spending over $30 with tip.

My husband and I did a road trip for our honeymoon and chose to stay a night in Flagstaff after spending the day at the Grand Canyon. We knew nothing about the town so we googled places to eat and found Shift, and we are so glad we did! Service was perfect, the restaurant itself is quaint but modern, and the FOOD. we did the bread/butter board followed by the savory sorbets. Still thinking about those and going to try our hand at recreating one day! We did the steak and fish entrees and we were in heaven the whole time.
