This was my first time eating there and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The Hiroshima is the absolute best thing I’ve ever ate! It’s a deep fried ball of rice with chicken inside covered in homemade teriyaki sauce. There’s chicken on the outside with broccoli and carrots but they were out of carrots. The owner and staff are so amazing and the restaurant is super clean. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant! Just wish they were open longer but hopefully they will be in the future

Still the best food for your money. I have tried almost everything on the menu, and even got over there for thier last day of breakfast. This is still my go to place to eat, 5 stars all around. Try the Ramen.

Shima’s Family Restaurant is an excellent mom and pop dining experience. Food is absolutely the best in town the prices are fair and the staff is extremely friendly I had the kamikaze burger, Cajun chicken, and teriyaki chicken (pictures below) on my last 3 visits. And with every visit I left full and happy with new friends.

I have been here on two separate occasions and both times the food was excellent. I was doing keto at one time and got the chicken salad and they fixed up a plate for me that I could have and the second time was the bacon fried rice which I absolutely love! I have ordered the bacon fried rice a couple of times and just happen to have a picture of it… It is the best fried rice in the valley if you can catch them serving it on certain days.

The Hiroshima plate is the best teriyaki dish that I’ve had in years. The deep fried crunchy rice brings a nice punch of texture. The flavors are heavenly. The portion is very generous.

I walked in not knowing what this place would be like but let me tell you, this place has got character! I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki, it’s like the perfect mixture of a salty and sweet chicken, and the rice was perfect too. Definitely will be revisiting in the future!

There’s an entry on the menu called the chef’s special. When I asked the server what it was, she said, “whatever Shima gives you.” I knew, from that moment, I loved this place. lol. Seriously, though, I love how unapologetic the menu is. I love the atmosphere. I love the menu. I LOVE the food.
