So hard to find a non-chain restaurant on the interstate. Okay so we didn’t actually eat here because they weren’t open but it looks great and the bathrooms at the truck stop were very clean.

I sent my husband to go scope the place out. We had just left Great Wolf Lodge and was on our way to Alabama. He said it looked good. The fried chicken was excellent. The peach cobbler was every bakers dream. The greens were delicious without meat. Now the rest of the buffet, minus the delicious rolls, I couldn’t eat. I think they just cook different than Louisiana does. I never ate pig ears, but people were coming in just for that. The staff was pleasant.

This is in a truck stop and the local people love eating here. Travelers along with truckers will stop to eat here. The question is why do they miss out on some of the best opportunities to make money. They are closed on the weekends. Most people travel on the weekends. In trucking most shippers and receivers are closed. So the truckers will find a place to accommodate those days. Breakfast lunch dinner. Also they close at 5pm. Most truckers stop driving for the day after 5pm. Saturday the parking lot has many truckers in the parking lot and they are closed. Truckers will note they are closed on weekends and at 5 pm. And spend their money somewhere else. It’s a missed business opportunity.
